My thinking is that Asgore cares so much about solving Dess's disappearance (the bulletin board and papers in the basement) because he perceives it as what not only made him lose not just his marriage but his job as police chief. He never caught a lead on the case and was removed by Carol in her resulting anger. But if he just figures it out now, he'll be forgiven! He will be loved! He will be whole again! Everything will go back to the way it was, the way it ought to be! And think, just before Azzy gets home!

"why is there a giant bright sun in the dark world in chapter 5" grow light. i'm guessing. if asgore has a prominent light source in the back of his flower shop it'd be bright grow lights. and if there's a risk of the sun 'setting' in the dark world, then that'd still work, because a lot of people set their grow lights to shut on/off on a schedule to mimic a day/night cycle

Are there any fics out there of flowey being ~~~~magically~~~~~~ returned to his asriel form on the surface and absolutely hating it? A flowey who looks like he did before he died again but he's not the same, and he knows his parents still want to see him as their perfect little golden child, their sweet asriel who would never hurt a fly - hell, even frisk seems to be changing the way they act around him - but it's not like before, it's not and it never will be, and he was just starting to feel okay with how things were going.

i think people are starting to confuse class analysis with bioessentialism. like... no not all men do this, but Men as a constructed social class do do this. that's still okay to say. that is regular material analysis of the world around us.
