you have to be careful reading too many things that are good/smart/well-written bc then you encounter something that isnt and you get confused like ? why didnt they just make this good ? were they stupid

being a fan of a male athlete is a perpetual stress test cause you like to think to yourself “nah he’s not that stupid, he wouldn’t do that” and then he goes on to prove that he IS that stupid and he’ll somehow manage to do even worse

This is the most niche thing on the planet I can relate to. I used to work at the men’s store in town that he came to a lot and one time he came in chose a ton of clothes, left to get a haircut and grab cash on the way even though it was a massive purchase, then came back and just laid down on the rug and played with the owners dog while highschool me was fangirling so fucking hard (this was like a decade ago). This man had all his clothes out and ready to be bought but spent an extra 20 minutes baby talking to the service dog and asking me about college apps then tripped getting up and made a joke about being a professional athlete in a dangerous sport but almost breaking his jaw off the boutique desk

marc calling over a young rider in racc to give him advices. imagine you're already riding with marc fucking marquez but he notices you and calls you over to tell you how and where you can improve. that kid must have felt so terrified and giddy at the same time.
