spent the past weekend watching a bunch of sports (alternating between writing and complaining that it was too hot to open my laptop), including the ICC women's t20 world cup, which. has anyone written the Audrey Hall: cricketer AU? (if so, please point me at it. and if not, someone should write the Audrey Hall: cricketer AU.)
I'm just saying: one could do a modern AU! or a women playing sport during war AU (my personal preference)! or another period AU altogether! but just imagine Siegfried rolling up to a match—maybe Tris dragged him, because he's been chatting up this girl on the team, and Siegfried grumbles the whole way (animals to see, sardines to eat, etc.) until BOOM! automatic hearteyes for the team captain. Tris laughs and laughs and laughs, but Siegfried gets the last laugh when eventually, later, after some pining and cricket and longing and a lost sheep leading them on a merry chase (also plenty of kissing and sex Tris does NOT need to know about) she agrees to marry him. just imagine!
