one of my favorite parts of the way grace and rocky really begin their friendship is that rocky unapologetically barges into grace's life and just doesn't leave. he makes the first move. he pushes things in motion. he literally rolls on in and doesn't care that grace is hesitant about the sudden arrangement because in his mind, its logical they work together in one space on the same problem with all the proper equipment and we need to watch each other SLEEP grace it just makes SENSE

not to mention rocky who spent so many years alone, traveling through the silence of space with no one but corpses for company, needs someone near him.
it really always was mutual need on multiple fronts and in different ways
