Julius was made as a rip off LETS NOT LIE TOT he was made as a rip off of felix his creator Margaret Winkler beasicly came up with him because she and felix's creators/directors had too many issues w eachother and coudn't bare to talk it out it was a whole Lotta mess from both sides from what i get, but the baseline is julius is a rip off and honestly I see no point in pretending he isn't like look at krazy and felix they look nothing alike despite krazy predating them both by over a decade while julius looks like felix without his iconic headshape not to mention hid design changed alot through the shorts, he was inconsistent to say the least

Also his show is the only one out of the 3 to accualy fully fail, oswald was doing good, mickey was doing good but julius' show fell apart on it's own, not to mention out of every one of them julius was was the one who had the most of those "toon gets hurt" jokes mainly because Walter Disney who directed most of them famously hated cats- like unironicly i don't think it can be put into words how much that guy hated cats it's diabolical ToT

Beasicly even in meta narrative julius is kinda- greed on legs, he's a stolen idea that didn't have passion behind itself so it feel apart and no one even mourned it, I think it only makes sense to see that meta somewhat move onto his characterization not to mention he is a black cat you know a bad luck charm
