Okay my first thoughts on the Oswald show first look: biggest take away…
I LITERALLY fucking cried cause oh my GOD look how TINY HE IS!!! 🥺😭 LITTLE BABY BOY ONLY AN APPLE TALL!!!
Secondly, my suspicions were correct that he wouldn’t talk because of the fact there were no voice actors cast for him. I’m kinda sad about that because I really wanted him to talk and I do worry with modern audiences who don’t know anything about Oswald won’t be interested if he doesn’t talk. I was hoping for Frank Welker to come back as Oswald or even the guy that voices him in Disney Speedstorm.
Also the fact it’s only a 3 part mini series doesn’t fill me with a lot of joy. I was under the impression that it would be multiple episodes. I worry because of how many human characters there’s gonna be, that we’re only gonna get like 10% Oswald in the OSWALD show and the majority of screen time is gonna be about these human kids. But I digress. The only reason I’m a bit picky about these things is because I, like many other Oswald super fans, have been waiting for new big Oswald news for YEARS. And the fact he was going to have his own WHOLE 2D animated show where he most likely was going to talk and interact with other toons in a toon world, and now he’s not, and might not be seen much at all in his own show… it does worry me a bit.
But the first look did put my fears to rest for the time being. He looks SO ADORABLE and the fact he’s hand-drawn means some love was definitely put into the show for sure. And if it does well enough MAYBE we’ll get more Oswald stuff in the future and more merch. But oh my god he’s so fucking cute that I was able to overlook my cons for the time being 😭
honestly while this oswald is very cute and i gotta admin it, i like him...he's not rlly oswald-oswald, he kinda reminds me more of the concepts for oswald in epic mickey where he was a scared little rabbit kinda an opposite to what he accualy ended up being
And while his size w how little he is is adorable and endearing- how will he interact w the other characters TOT? IF there will be other characters and not just humans that is...honestly if he won't interact w mickey im flying away
since oswald tag is gon be unusable for the next week or so consider this a selina kyle and felicia heart stan account for the time being
