i mean they did also kill jesus. that was a pretty significant thing that happened. like i understand where you’re coming from here but they very much did kill jesus.

actually it's one specific groundhog named Punxsutaney Phil (cause he lives in Punxsutaney you see) who has a circle of handlers that can speak to him and gift him immortality via a magic potion so he can continue his forecasting work in perpetuity
