so it is obvious that Smartypants (Dropout 2024) exists to bullshit us for entertainment value (and also to give Rekha a more predictable paycheck) and anyone who doesn't wish to be bullshitted has ample warning to go watch something that'll entertain them better instead
but also it is not necessarily obvious how much of each bit is factual and/or sincere that happens to be presented as a package deal with the entertaining bullshit
and I meant to watch Groundhog Day at uh Some Point in the 2008 to 2013 vicinity (for Supernatural S03E11 reasons, which I can't help but recall is before the show even introduced angels, never mind retconned Richard Speight Jr's character), but I still have not actually done this
and the Smartypants S01E05 section in question has clips from the movie it's about
so like. is it a plausible inference from the movie itself that the piano teacher remembers previous loops, and she just isn't letting the central character know this?
