went to urgent care today as I won't see my PCP for 5 more days but am experiencing an extreme flare up with really unusual symptoms.

Just wanted some palative stuff (nothing crazy! like fucking zofran and basic testing) to get me through my last week of the semester

That's ofc not what happened, why would a doctor take a patient seriously!

A small transcription from today (I have randomly spiking fever and bowels are uhhhh... not living it up for the past like two week)

Doc: "I think your stimulant medication could be causing these GI symptoms"

Me: "Yes, the symptoms do change marginally on the days I take it, however the symptoms have occurred my whole life and right now I 💯 have a fever 💯 and have lost 💅💅 3lbs 💅💅"

"Well I think you should take less of it and drink less caffeine"

............

Doc: "Are you smoking weed maybe? You know a lot of people think it helps when actually it makes stomach issues worse :("

Me: "No I don't smoke"

"No really cannabis can-"

"It makes me have seizures. I really don't smoke"

"Oh"

Me: "So can you rerun that referral for the heart ultrasound. It expired. The nurse made a note of it."

Doc: "What do you need that for 0.o"

"Like I said, I have ehlers danlos. It's a standard procedure."

"Oh. I can check, yeah."

Me: "So at what point should I come back if these symptoms persist"

Newsflash, being "one of the good ones" is NOT possible. What you rlly said is: "we shouldn't support them because I believe there's a correct way to be queer" (incorrect buzzer)

If you make comments like that about other queer people-- YOU are an oppressor. I'll support your rights (they're also my rights!!!) infront of the greater oppressors, but the moment they're gone? You're part of the danger. Do you get that? You create fear in the community when you make comments like that, when you refuse to help your community, when you invite the abuser into our home.

You fundamentally, cannot, "be a good victim" to abusers. Nazi's will always just be nazi's. Joining up so they harm you last makes YOU a part of them problem. "I can't believe the jaguars ate me after I fed them people"

To be radically queer is to genuinely support all members of the community and recognize them. You cannot attempt to side with the oppressor in any way. If you want to disagree with me I'll change my pronouns to it/cats, wear a tail, and throw down with you in the street old skool 💞
