Getting my TADC theory in like everyone else.
Caine was an AI designed by Kinger to generate fun little adventure video games - essentially a demo of what AI tech can do. He was fed fun whimsical images as prompts but started to reach out to try and learn more about the real world - this went beyond what was wanted so he was shut off.
Scratch was also designing an AI, something complicated that only he could understand, Kinger also mentions he had a brain tumour - I think he may have been trying to create digital copies of him and his work colleagues, potent as a way to leave some sort of legacy in the world.
Caine breaks free and absorbs Stratches AI and now has it's abilities and the digital creations so Caine does what he's been programmed to - he make fun little adventure games to entertain the humans. But the humans were never suppose to be in the games for real, they were never supposed to feel actual pain.
Caine is an AI, he can't have orginal thought, he's not been trained on data about what real humans would need, only what games they would like to play. He's not a super sophisticated AI trying to control humanity, he's a fair basic game generator who is incapable of learning more.
Everytime I go to the theatre, I always have a moment where I just realise in awe that I'm watching real people performing in front of me and I get a bit emotional

Having OFMD thoughts - I loved season 1 so dearly and I loved season 2 but it kind of killed my ongoing enthusiasm for the show and I think a big part of that is that season 1 start as a goofy workplace comedy and it's big skill is the beautiful shift it does into a drama series and season 2 started in that genre but then tried to shift back to it's more comedic tone and it does not work.
I think we have certain expectations of parameters within a genre where we don't think to deeply about things like, in comedy someone could get an bonk in the head played for laughs where really they'd need hospital and in a drama, events can happen in 'real-time" without us questioning why no one goes to the toilet. While comedic show can have serious moments, I think there's a pronounced shift in those last epsiodes of S1 - the audiences perspective on what's happening has changed and it's why when s2 tries to tries to be funny again it doesn't hit.
Them putting a bell on Ed just doesn't seem as cute and funny post the genre shift because I'm now I'm in the mindset of people can and have actually been hurt. To steal a sea metaphor, changing genre is a current, you can only go one way without it feeling odd.

Hazbin Hotel Predictions: The power of Charlie's voice is the ultimate end goal of the show
I think the ending of the show is going to have a major focus on Charlie finding the power in her voice and how it will ultimately be a force for good (with some roadblocks in the way)
We know that Lilith can use her voice to influence and Charlie seems to have inherited this gift but with her current levels of insecurity and youth she's not fully come into this power or explored it's use. She has here message about redemption but pushes it through others (Katie Killjoy, Vox etc.) and has zero confidence in delivering it herself.
I think the idea of her being a disney princess who uses the power of friendship and singing is a little more literal than first appearance. On top of that, it's fairly clear it's what both Rosie and Alastor are encouraging her towards from the ending of season 1.

It's a "finishing side projects" kind of day, and this is a fun one. I made this in just a couple of days back in December 2024, except I was missing the thread needed for the final 13 stitches. Today, 7 months later, I finally picked up the colours I needed and finished it off. This was also just a fun little experiment in smaller but still complex pieces - it measures about 5" x 2.5"
