The goblins in jkr's hp universe are directly inspired by typical antisemitic caricatures (hooked nose, warts, greedy, backstabbing for greed). The plot surrounding an uprising of goblins stealing 'pureblood' children to use for blood magic/evil purposes is a repackaged piece of propaganda created by the catholic church. Blood Libel is the idea that Jews are stealing christian children, molesting them, and then using them in satanic rituals for money/power/youth ect. This story was circulated by the catholic church to cover up the fact that Priests were abusing children so violently they would die, and would dump their bodies in Jewish Ghettos.
Not only that the slave class of elves that exist are happy to be slaves as long as they are treated well... That is literally pro-slavery rhetoric and idk if that is taught where you live, but it's literally what people in the Confederacy used to preach against abolition. So that's a weird bad thing to include.
Lastly, the places, orgs, and people, outside of charity work, JKR has been promoting for the last few years have all had ties to transphobic rhetoric and political movements, such as the bathroom ban and the "seperate the t from the lgb" movement. She also spotlighted transphobic legislatior Allison Bailey, through word of mouth and free promotion via social media, after admitting she donated to her cause publically.
To think that anything JKR has any hand in, or any money invested into (like her own ip) is seperate from her own political beliefs is quite...well there's so reaching. Your 60 quid is better spent on a game that is barely finished and glitched to hell and back anyways.
I have literally never seen or read harry potter so this information is helpful. I didnt even know there were other sentient creatures than humans.
