23 years old: do you think anything will magically change in the next few months to the point where you can't possibly imagine how you'll feel at 24

23 years old: i mean you never know. anything can happen. they're letting people born in 2002 turn 24, for instance

If they do it RIGHT this series could potentially be one of the greatest trilogies EVER and the textbook manual for all friends to lover from this point forward

Judy and Nick talking after getting away from another interview

Judy’s like “Why do they keep doing this?? Why does no one wanna talk about the case?”

Nick’s like “Hey if I were them I’d wanna talk about us too, we’re hot stuff”

Judy’s like “I’m serious Nick, what is this city’s deal? They’re so obsessed with creating drama that isn’t there”

And Nick’s like “Yup. Sure isn’t there. Who’s to say? Let’s just let it lie.”

And Judy’s like “But—”

And Nick’s like “Go home, put work away, I’ll take you out for a jumbo pop”

And Judy’s like “FINE.”

She walks away

Nick watches her go longingly like the yearning moron he is

Judy dodges more paparazzi

Gets home

She throws herself across her room

Grabs the carrot pen

Listens back like six more times

Neighbors yell at her

“WHEN ARE YOU GONNA TELL HIM YOU’RE IN LOVE WITH HIM?”

Judy yells at them to shut up

“NOT YOU TOO”

Hugs the pen

Some dumb “oh Nick” yearning whine ‘cause she’s GONE

She puts it away

Maybe her parents call in this scene to ask about her boyfriend, too

Who knows

She leaves to meet up with Nick

They are very much flirting in public but she keeps treating it like it’s normal friend behavior

Feathers ensue

She uses the bird case as a way to dodge addressing her feelings

Nick is DYING inside

Judy is too, she’s just choosing to ignore it

Second act breakdown due to emotional overload

Third act confession that brings some behaviors to light

Kiss in the last 10 minutes

Bonus if the confession is less of an ordeal like the last movie and more of a big blowup “YES OF COURSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU, I HAVE BEEN FOR TWO YEARS” and then straight into a shut up kiss

Also wouldn’t be surprised if in the avian city they have to play as a couple while dealing with all this inner turmoil and it makes it impossible to avoid addressing

Anyway

It WILL happen.
