Every time I talk to my neighbor he finds a reason to mention that he has two PHDs. if youre in the US (especially the northeast + michigan) i would avoid bagged salads/greens and generally wash your produce very thoroughly unless you want the diarrhea parasite

try to avoid eating raw vegetables, scrub fruit with a produce brush and rinse thoroughly with water. again, don't bother with premade greens or bagged salads. if you buy lettuce, remove the outer 2-3 layers of leaves.
there are UNVERIFIED rumors that the greens have been linked to a company that sources to taco bell. some locations have been actively pulling fresh ingredients like lettuce, avocado, and pico de gallo to mitigate the threat, so i would avoid any products from them just in case. considering how vast supply chains are, i'd be wary of any fast food greens in general for now.

here’s a quick drawing I made yesterday to kick off the week 🫡 anyways htn really endeared me to Ortus, I wanted to do a short comic of the whole scene but my wrist and neck said no.
Idk, I think I’ll revisit this at some point because the whole conversation feels so validating for Harrow after a whole book (and life) of being gaslit and neglected and shouldering burdens too heavy for even an adult to bare. A really funny era of my life was when I tried to get into chaos magic to the extent that I bought a couple books on the subject only to realize pretty quickly that it's just a mix of mindfulness techniques and The Secret for nerdy straight guys.
Literally some of this shit was just like, "the way you conceptualize yourself internally effects how you present yourself externally" and "try to be more aware of your emotions" and even a bit about challenging your unconscious biases about other people. That plus the emphasis on meditation and journaling really made it feel like a way to backdoor dudes into doing therapy. But also then there'd be a chapter about how to like contact ancient goddesses or summon a spirit or manifest a bunch of money.
like I guess you really so need to tell some guys that they can become wizards to get them to learn to process their emotions.

there's this phenomenon i've noticed on youtube which i dub "man math" which is when men STEM-ify hobbies/activities/art forms in order to make them more masculine. it's very noticeable in the cooking video sphere where there's an endless stream of videos made by men along the lines of "the SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN best way to cook an egg" (and dgmw, i watch them and find them helpful, but the observation stands), but i notice it also in the way men approach ceramics (a lot of focus on mold-making and slip-casting to perfection, basically reinventing one man mass-production rather than play and discovery), tailoring/sewing/knitting/textile art, gardening and other nature-oriented hobbies, interior decor, furniture making and woodworking, journaling/planning/productivity, even drawing and painting, there's always some man math angle to it that although interesting it often strikes me as some sort of overcompensation to move away from the inherent vulnerability that comes with art making and once you notice it it's literally everywhere

new dune trailer is bad for me because it awakens my urge to re-read dune messiah which then makes me think well I should re-read dune first it has been awhile and if i succumb to that I'll want to re-read children of dune just to round things out and I don't think I have time for all of that right now.
