Harrow and Ianthe have weird and inadvisable sex after the arm building scene.
The sex scene I’ve been writing for like three months is finally done. Come see these emotionally repressed lesbians have sex in honestly worrying ways that don’t make anything better. And gideon is watching from the cuck chair in harrow’s mind!
The arm scene is kind of a sex scene. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

My search history on Pinterest has become a mess because of this thing

Enemies to a different kind of Enemies for different reasons
I'm listening to Harrow the Ninth (after reading it once, so it’s a re-encountering of the book), and it’s striking how much deeper a portrait I get of Ianthe. Here we see her vulnerable and miserable and out-of-her depth. We see her surrounded by people she wants to impress (as opposed to at Canaan House, where she seemed to comfortably believe she was the best.) Harrow is so different from Coronabeth and yet I wonder what it’s like for Ianthe to have a “sister” who both has necromantic ability and is damn good at it. Ianthe has so many layers of superficial haughty contempt put up at all times it takes a lot to see what’s beneath, but you can see that there's a human under there. Rereading made me seriously entertain Harrianthe--it’s that uneasy mix of mutual distrust, periodic relative solidarity, and begrudging respect. Ianthe is ambitious and devious. Harrow is principled and loyal, but capable of going to extremes that make her just as unpredictable as Ianthe. They are both used to being on top and hate displays of vulnerability. They are great together.
i feel like there are three camps of the locked tomb readers - griddleharks, harrianthes, and campals - and each group brings a completely different perspective to the fandom
