Bruce was done, he had already sat in the watchtower lounge area for an hour. Which was an hour too long in his opinion, but his family had told him he needed to ‘socialize’ with his colleagues more. Music was being played way too loud in his opinion and Clark had left him to go talk with newer members nine minutes ago. Most of the team were already a few too many drinks in, someone had even designed a modified alcohol that effected Barry and his speedster metabolism. Bruce continued to sip from the cheap beer that someone had brought, looking at his watch and counting down the time until the two hours he agreed to stay were up.

Hal and Barry were having a great time introducing Diana to the party games they played during highschool and university, which she was enjoying immensely if the easy laughter was anything to go by. He was just starting to debate if his family would actually check with Clark to make sure he stayed the full agreed upon time when he overheard the game that was currently being discussed.

“So it’s three names, and from the list you have to pick one to fuck, one to marry, and one to kill. Easy right?” Hal described to Diana.

“Yes that sounds pretty intuitive” Wonder Woman agreed, “I propose we stick to those older than 20 and not related to the one answering.”

“Of course, of course, no need to worry Princess.” Hal said, clapping a hand on Barry’s shoulder, “you first oh great Scarlet Speedster. Let’s see… Oliver Queen, Bruce Wayne, and me!”

“Ha! Is that supposed to be tricky? Marry Oliver Queen, fuck Bruce Wayne, and kill you. Sorry buddy, but I’m getting that money and no way am I moving to Gotham to be with Wayne!” With that Barry glances back at Batman, “er, no offence Batman.”

“None taken Flash, Gotham is no place for metas.” Bruce almost laughed at the betrayed look on Hal’s face at being turned down by his friend. He tuned out the game for a bit, it was drawing more of a crowd as people threw in more outrageous names, including a few rogues. A couple minutes later he was suddenly right beside a very drunk flash who apparently had no sense of personal space.

“How about a Gotham round for our resident cryptid?” Receiving no disagreement from Bruce aside from a patented ‘batglare’ he continued, “Let’s see; Catwoman, Nightwing, and Bruce Wayne!”

Bruce looked around at the crowd who had gathered to watch, seeing Clark and Diana wince. It looked like Clark was about to say something and take the attention away from him, but he held up a hand to stop him. His kids were saying eventually he had to tell the JL who he was, and this was too funny for even him to give up.

“Well I don’t quite think that’s fair, seeing how it goes against the pre-determined rule.” Bruce started to say but was cut off by Barry.

“Oh shit I was confident Nightwing had to be at least 22, my bad-“

“Not that rule,” Bruce grabbed one more beer from the table, cracked it open and chugged it. He looked at Barry who was getting more confused by the second. “Let’s see, I’ll fuck and marry my fiancé, kill myself, and tell my SON I care about him very much.”

With that Batman decided that no matter what his kids say he was not staying the final 27 minutes, he took his cowl off and walked to the zeta tubes.
