What Are Dreams Made Of....

When I was in primary school I was diagnosed with Dyscalculia and dyslexia, I also found it extremely hard to make friends. I only have a handful of friends as I didn't trust people easily. On the day I left primary school my teacher, who was also the deputy head, told my mother that I would amount to nothing. That I wouldn't make anything of myself. When I was in secondary I was severely bullied, not just by the student but also by the teachers... The ones who were supposed to protect me didn't. One of the teachers told my mum that I was a misfit, that because I wouldn't "blend in" with the others was the reason I was bullied. Another teacher told me once, when I left the class crying, that she can see why I was being bullied. She told me it was MY fault that I was bullied. During this time I was abused by my father, he made me feel so little inside and pathetic. I was also diagnosed with depression and bipolar, I refused to take medications for it but was seeing therapists at the time. I sat my GCSE's I got 9 a-c grades and got into my first choice for college and straight onto a level 3 in childcare. I was also then bullied at college because I didn't "fit in." I didn't want to fit in and didn't want to change myself to please others. Even my own family didn't "get me.".. Half the time I didn't get myself. I finally finished college and got a job in a primary school, I then went onto be room leader in a day nursery, after that I become a third in charge and now have a job as an officer in charge. But I still have that nagging thought in the back of my mind that I'm not worthy or can't do it but I metaphorically stuck my middle finger up at the people that told me I couldn't do that I wouldn't dot. That I'm worthless. The reason I'm telling this is so the people that are going through what I have and am, know that they CAN do it. You can do it, no matter who or how many people tell you you can't, you can! I did it and so can you.
