Putting the term "Catholic guilt" on a high shelf where fandom can't reach it until everyone learns how to identify characters who are very very clearly coded as Protestant.

stop letting miserable people on the internet convince you that you must have a concrete, well-constructed opinion on everything that has ever existed.
everybody say thank you Marcus Aurelius
Warning: Vampire transformation, headcanon, dialogue written with machine translation.
Fan art for @ilovegt's work, as usual. Inspiration: [This post], [This post].
I know this is like, totally out of nowhere compared to my recent posts, but the idea just popped into my head and I really had to draw it… so yeah, vampire Bennett again.
Well, I mean, he’s a vampire and not actually a bat, so I don't really know if he’d act all bat-like or just behave like a regular person, but… Seriously though, don't you think it’s just so cute when a tiny person with bird or winged traits uses a human finger as a perch…? It makes them look so incredibly small… it's just so cute.
Borrowers and human hands/fingers together is like, the ultimate aesthetic…
“Living weapon” covers a lot and all of it is hot

It's once again Witch Hat Monday! I've made so many fanarts over the years that I probably have one to post for every episode lol The manga has endless amazing brim hat designs that inspired me to go crazy with a Van Gogh's Starry Night hat 🌟⭐✨
Violence may not solve every problem but dang sometimes it's cathartic.

”Explain yourself” followed by “stop making excuses” has always baffled me because the fuck you think explaining myself is????
Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.
Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.
No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.
He didn't do it.
The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.
Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?
From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.
When people argue that food from Chinese and Mexican restaurants in the US are not 'real' representations of that culture's cuisine ignore the historical reality that these dishes were developed by diasporic communities striving to recreate the flavors of home with available resources. Such criticism frames adaptation as a loss of authenticity, rather than recognizing it as a sincere and evolving expression of culture by people separated from their homeland.
Too good to leave in the tags

@charlesoberonn made a really, really good post that I stole to make... this
I mean, treating yaoi as the opposite of yuri just doesn't make sense mathematically: boys are not the inverse of girls. The actual opposite of yuri would somehow have to involve fewer than zero girls, and that's not an easy thing to characterise.
It has been proposed in the notes that shonen anime, Hideo Kojima games, and police procedurals where all the women die by the end satisfy the criterion of having fewer than zero girls in various ways.
Identifying the common thread of these proposals, we may thus conclude that the opposite of yuri is Supernatural.
("Doesn't that just put us back at square one with respect to positing that yaoi is the opposite of yuri" well, no, because Supernatural is also, for unrelated reasons, the opposite of yaoi.)
