I love this photo of Tom Holland because he looks like a kid that’s been listening to his racist relatives argue over Christmas dinner for the last half hour:

Charles Xavier: Hey there, newly emerged mutant who was just attacked for no other reason than being a mutant. Want to come join my ‘school’ where you’ll be indoctrinated into a one sided war, fighting on the side of your oppressors and doing everything in your power to seem like one of the ‘good muties’, including but not limited to wearing an image inducer to hide your grotesque appearance? Oh, also you can no longer use your powers to help yourself unless it falls into my list of acceptable uses like battling freedom fighters and branding them villains to further my agenda and push the narrative that there are good and docile mutants.

Art Critic: the skull in the corner is artfully placed on the periphery of vision to symbolise the omnipresence of death, important thematically to the artist’s conception of life and mortality.

I painted a copy of Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring for a class in college, and when I displayed it for review the professor was like, “Are you making a statement about materialism by not painting her wearing the actual earring?”
