Hi, I’m Voidey! I go by she/her, but I don’t mind other pronouns either. I’m 32 and sadly suffer from PostCovid. Drawing and playing SDV brings me lots of joy while I’m unable to leave my house. English is not my first language.

I can never catch a break, I just want my life back, I don’t know how to deal with even more stuff stacked on my plate. I know I must go on and I know there will always be a way, but it seems my body and mind just don’t get a chance to heal. Every time I make some progress something crashes me and I have to start anew.

I‘m trying so so so hard to be positive and optimistic, trying to see an upside to things, because my immune system is so bad, and a negative mindset can make it even worse. Getting online therapy seems so impossible currently, but I’m not in the state of going there in person.

I have no appetite and eating feels like torture most days.

Most fun things get sanctioned by health consequences. Even just listening to friends or videos gives me headaches and fatigue, but staying away would make my loneliness and depression worse.

All I can do is draw, and I love doing it, but it also feels so pointless given the irl stuff that’s falling apart left and right.

My boyfriend feels neglected because I can barely leave the bed, we can’t do much else than talk and maybe watch a movie. We’ve been together for over 8 years and I love him so much but it’s gotten so bad that we currently look into couples counseling.

My job, the thing I loved doing, that was a one in a lifetime chance… my boss wants a meeting about that, wants an estimate when I can return. I know where this is leading.

And next to all of this, the bureaus aren’t satisfied with my proof of actually being as sick and they refuse to pay.

All I want is to be healthy enough to work again. To be a human that can contribute things. Being able to take a walk with my friends without being bed- and painridden for weeks. I don’t want a condition with no treatment! A condition that has an unknown expiry date. A condition that barely has conclusive research. Tell me what I gotta do to become healthy again and I’ll do my best!

I take meds I take supplements. I try so hard to stay within my limits without becoming stagnant. I try to approach every new day with a fresh mind and optimism. I’m keeping a strict sleep routine. I eat food that I don’t like because my body needs the supplements.
