Reading through these articles by Al Jazeera and the HRW had my heart stop cold. Not only do military trials of Palestinians have a 96% conviction rate and prisons full of horrible, torturous conditions, but now there's this. Just vile. Please give the articles a read if you've the time. There's more out there as well.

That's it. Those are your options. Homelessness doesn't go away based on "crime crackdowns." You will imprison the unhoused, and when they are free, they will be unhoused again. Or they will die in prison.

When you burn encampments or force people out without their stuff, they remain unhoused or freeze to death.

After working with the unhoused, it's become abundantly clear that those who don't want to support them instead want them dead.

My family is forced to flee every day from one area to another. We leave behind our tent and belongings under heavy shelling aimed at pushing us out. Some collapse face-first from exhaustion or lose consciousness—hunger weakens their immunity and blurs their vision. Those who go searching for flour often return carried on shoulders—either injured or dead. Think carefully. Imagine how I must carry my injured daughter Lynn, while my sick mother and father crawl in fear.
