People fear-mongering about "men in women's spaces" are always talking about hypotheticals. What type of "women's space" is rarely specified. There's almost never a story there, and when there is, nothing ever actually happened. There was just a person they thought didn't look gnc in a gender segregated space where most people already mind their own business, and the only harm done was the bigot making a scene and stirring up hatred for a marginalized community.

I would have no issues naming concrete examples of cis (straight) men causing problems in shared gender spaces that I've personally experienced. But I don't have a single example of one trying to "invade a women's space". If anything, they were terrified of accidentally walking into the women's bathroom. Even the shittiest guys. Not because they respected women but because it would make them a woman I guess, and other dudes would make fun of them.

Not to mention that I, a man, frequented "women's spaces" such as bathrooms, dressing rooms and gynecologist waiting rooms (for that one my cis male partner even was with me most of the time for emotional support) until the age of about 28, when I actually started passing as a guy, and nothing ever happened. Because being a man didn't actually make me a threat to any woman there. It's almost like men invading women's spaces is a complete non-issue that's only ever brought up when it's time to collectively punish trans people for harm that hypothetically could've been done if things had gone differently.

A woman would be much safer in a club full of trans people than at home alone with just her partner, statistically speaking.

Goddamit i hate this fucking post. I hate it because obviously if “twelve” followed the same pattern as the other teen numbers it wouldn’t be “twoteen” it would be “seconteen”. Think about it. It’s not “threeteen” it’s “thirteen” as in “third”. It’s not “fiveteen” it’s “fifteen” as in fifth. So with that in mind, you count “first, second, third, fourth, fifth,” and so on, so eleven would be “firsteen” and twelve would be “secondteen” or “seconteen”. “Firsteen, seconteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen….” It just drives me absolutely mad everytime i see this post that this obvious pattern was overlooked and i cant hold in my rage anymore.

I suggest getting angrier about misogyny.
