I hate how dc sometimes "gentryfies" it's adaptation's universes after a while.
Just think about smallville, how in the last season they start killimg show originals to make it so that in the end of the story Clark becomes superman in a more "mainstream" dcu.
Think about the arrowverse and how i the last seasons they try their best to make it more similar to the dcu when people liked it for it's wild interpretations and shit like having it's trinity be green arrow, flash and supergirl.
Think about the timmverse and how years after it ended they try to retcon stuff like Hal Jordan beign green lantern, Jason Todd existing (when Tim takes his place in the narrative as the street robin that ends in tragedy) and Power girl beign a thing (while Galatea was a very loose adaptation of her)
Idk, maybe i'm overthinking it but it feel that they are trying too hard to play it safe.
