It's so funny seeing misogynists using this very classic 'argument' - if women obey their bosses, why not their husbands.
Because they literally expose right then and there that they believe that in a marriage, men are superior to women. Obv in a corporate chain of command, someone at a lower position is answerable to someone at a higher position, and has an obligation to obey them. Ideally, but ofc not in practice, a marriage should be such that both parties have an equal say in every decision and stand at an equal ground. A boss is always superior to an employee, but a husband should never be considered superior to his wife.
This just shows that according to conservatives, women don't deserve autonomy and respect in a marriage. They use this ploy of 'but women obey bosses!!!!!' to make it seem like women are intentionally undermining their partners, when in reality, they just want to reaffirm their belief in inherent female inferiority.
The real question here is why do misogynists openly admit that they believe that husbands are inherently superior to wives, while also insulting women for not wanting to get married and forced into a permanent sense of inferiority.
eat well, exercise, build muscle, get an education/training, make and save as much money as you can, learn to be direct and firm with your boundaries, wear comfortable and practical clothes, ditch the beauty rituals, put your health above your looks, read, question everything, choose yourself and other women always
Why do women follow islam?
I keep hearing that women who follow islam are like chickens flocking to kfc. So many people want to criticize women, nobody is trying to understand why women are following islam in the first place.
Women have no agency in islam we can't decide where we go, what we wear and who we marry. Women in islam are completely dependent on men whether they be out fathers or our husband's, men are our gaurdians in islam so we cannot live alone. When we're kids were taught about how we'll go to hell for not wearing the hijab and for not believing in islam. You don't really think you can leave, nobody tells you, you have a choice. It's never the conclusion anyone comes to because the religion is so ingrained in our minds that even if we do question it we don't usually think we can leave because islam is the one true religion that's why everyone targets muslims, is what we're taught.
If we leave islam then what? It's not like we can live on our own, our father's and our husband's they control everything, believing in islam is the only thing giving us sanity because even when we have no rights atleast we can comfort ourselves with the fact that allah willed for women to be protected and hidden for whatever god's reason. It's a sick type of comfort, if we're locked in a cage atleast we wanted to be in the cage, it's like birds born in cages don't ever know they can fly. It's like that for muslim women as well we can't question the rules or the whole illusion will come crumbling down that we never had any power to begin with. If we leave we lose our family, our community and sometimes even our lives. For some it's just not worth it to leave because if we do leave we lose everything, some would rather just comfort themselves with the same lies, because the reality is to hard to face.
I know it's hard to understand why women beleive in islam or why they dont leave. But mocking women who have been brainwashed all their lives isn't going to help anyone. That being said I don't think we should coddle them either I just think that they don't deserve to constantly be insulted when they don't have any choice.

i think a lot of people internalized the misogynistic idea that âmen are rational and women are emotionalâ and just went âthatâs true⌠but itâs a good thing!â instead of saying âthatâs obviously bullshit and we shouldnât perpetuate this belief in any formâ

âNo one is straight anymoreâ nah theyâre still straight theyâre just claiming to be something else by making up labels and forcing themselves into gay spaces. Opposite sex attraction is straight no matter what.
My lived experience is that I am a woman because I was born female, and it has affected the way people have treated me from the moment I was born. The lived experience of 3.5 billion women is that they are women because they were born female. To try and demand that we deny this reality, our own lived reality, because it doesnât validate the feelings of a small handful of males who have decided (in the absence of any evidence) that the way they feel must be the way women feel, and therefore they are women, and therefore âwomanâ is a feeling independent of the body? To demand that 3.5 billion women pretend their bodies have nothing to do with their experience of womanhood because it doesnât include this tiny minority? Thatâs gotta be Peak Mansplaining. They are literally mansplaining womanhood to women, projecting their own beliefs about womanhood (warped by their own perceptions and experiences as the oppressor class) onto themselves and onto every woman on earth. How has anyone, especially any woman, been convinced to go along with this?Â
Reading this while listening in to absolutely bullshit training at work where a woman is telling me there is no reason to exclude trans women from women only domestic violence shelters.
Woman: talks critically about beauty culture, porn, shaving, makeup, BDSM, sex work
Inevitable libfem: Excuse me this really hurts the feelings of women who enjoy suffering and make it their personal choice, ((don't even post this shit at all, you insensitive prick! There's nothing to examine here, just let it go, let it be.))

"enby icon" "transmasc icon" y'all genuinely can't comprehend a woman exercising her freedom, courage and leadership skills without some batshit conspiracies that she was secretly a man on a spiritual level
she got burned at the stake for wearing men's clothes, she was a teenage warrior protecting her country with whole patriarchal systems against her, show some fucking respect

The idea that male and female do not present as two neutral, equal human variations, but that there is some default, sexless human body is worrying. The idea that sex is composed of a series of parts that we can refigure at will. The idea that before puberty, we are sexless and able to be molded. The idea that natural puberty is as unnatural and irreversible as a synthetic one. This idea is deeply anti-human- how is no one seeing this??
I donât think transgender people themselves should be called gross, or mutilated or monsters, I do not think transitioning itself somehow ruins someone, I am not talking about them or their bodies, but the ideology. How are people not realizing how pseudoscientific and hateful this rhetoric is becoming? The idea that sex is a series of parts, that somehow we are naturally sexless, that our bodies are not complete and connected wholes, is increasingly becoming part of the transgender movements rhetoric? The body as parts. People with utererus, people with prostates, people with penises. We are all just a series of commodities, to be bought and sold, our human bodies are the enemy, our male and female forms are aberrations, mistakes that were forced on our sexless default. We exist beyond our body. We are more than our body. To define ourself by our body is reductive, dehumanizing. And, of course, the biggest voice against this currently is right-wing, but not because of their pro-human stance, because they think that our bodies belong to god. They were the ones who got us here in the first place! The idea that our bodies arenât âusâ but are merely limitations, the idea that the female body in particular is grotesque, only for breeding, bleeding, serving, penetrating. Iâm scared at how further this is going to go.
OP this whole post is beautifully said, even if the truth in it is hauntingly unsettling.
âThe idea that sex is composed of a series of parts that we can reconfigure at will.â
This is exactly why when we say that women are adult human females, TRAs will say things like âOh so youâre reducing being a woman to having a vagina?â
It never occurred to me to fire back, âWhy do you think that having a vagina is the only thing that makes me female?â
The female body is an intricately complex system that impacts our health and our lives every day, and the vagina is not the defining trait of the female sex but a statistically reliable indicator of it. What TRAs refuse to accept is that having a vagina means your body is supposed to have other components of the female reproductive system. This is not transphobic. This is not intersexist.
My body is both intelligent and messy and beautiful and gross and impressive. Every cell, every hormone, every muscle is why I am alive and strong. My uterus isn't there just to make babies. There are studies showing that it affects cognitive function and plays a role in memory. And my ovaries don't just make eggs. In actuality, the ovaries create hormones that impact bone density, cholesterol levels, heart health, and mood. There are things about my female body that work right, and there are things that don't work right. There are advantages I have over a typical male body, but there are also disadvantages I have compared to the male body. There is nothing about this that I have to be ashamed of.
To tell us that the female body, as a complex and holistic system, simply does not exist is how they can gaslight young girls into thinking that their bodies have not been taken advantage of by males in nearly every society since the dawn of time. It is how you squash any discussion of medical misogyny and doom millions of girls to a future of suffering with endometriosis, PCOS, and countless other disorders. It is how you convince a young girl who doesn't like her breasts because she doesn't like that boys ogle and grope them that it is because her breasts are the problem that must be removed instead of the men who raised these boys to believe that sexual access to her body without concern for her humanity was their birth right. It is how they convince a young girl that if she is poor and left to suffer by a society that does not care for her safety and well-being, that she can simply make an OnlyFans so that all men have access to her body which was never really hers to begin with, so there's no reason why this should be traumatic in the first place.
"The body as parts. People with uteruses, people with prostates, people with penises. We are all just a series of commodities, to be bought and sold, our human bodies are the enemy, our male and female forms are aberrations, mistakes that were forced on our sexless default."
I'm really starting to grasp now that this is not a bug, it's a feature.
And of course right-wingers are able to drown us out with their constant refrain of âdonât take testosterone or get a hysterectomy - you need to embrace your natural, god-given role as a subservient feminine baby factory!â Which makes TRAâs all the more eager to chop off their most politicized female body parts in order to escape this fate.
So when we try to argue that being female does not make us feminine, subservient baby factories, and that we donât have to alter our bodies in order to deserve rights and dignity, we can hardly get the words out before theyâre buried in a chorus of âYouâre trying to force me to have babies and wear makeup!! TERFs are conservatives! TERFs are misogynistic bioessentialists!!â
I do hold genderists responsible for their misogynistic beliefs, but I also understand that they are just reactionaries, and the bigger problem here is the threat of right-wingers who are constantly working to subjugate us and insisting that our own bodies are to blame for their male supremacist agenda.
âLiterally no one has ever said this or believed itâ / âYou made up someone to be mad aboutâ / âthis is an insane strawmanâ
I think itâs incredibly telling that the tras in the notes and comments are so intellectually divorced from the actual meaning of their own rhetoric and ideology that they literally donât even recognize it when itâs presented to them.
Because what OP is describing is absolutely their ideology, not verbatim but very neatly and succinctly paraphrased
But without their own snappy slogans and buzzwords they can acknowledge how absurd it sounds and ridicule it as if it were something theyâve never even heard of
They think that the mind and the body are entirely different entities, that there exists a sexed body and a separate gendered soul residing within. You didnât come up with that, thatâs classical religious mind-body dualism. Thatâs the foundation of most religions, specifically christianity. Youâre mere inches away from describing the idea of an eternal afterlife.

you can't girlboss your way out of the humiliation of performing femininity. miniskirts are supposed to humble you by having you stay alert to them riding up and exposing you. high heels are supposed to humble you by having you move carefully, wary of twisting an ankle (or stumbling and exposing yourself). make-up is supposed to humble you by having you control your feeding and resting habits, lest you smudge it. there's sexualization imbedded in them. they are SUPPOSED to embarrass you, because the ultimate titillation is the assertion of control over you. you can't desex them.
The ânobodyâ scene in the odyssey is absolutely not just a clever punâitâs a character defining moment for Odysseus because he refuses to be nobody. He devised an incredible plan that worked and he could have saved his men and returned home much sooner but he just had to yell to the cyclops that he isnât nobodyâheâs Odysseus, king of Ithaca so now Poseidon knows who to curse which severely fucks up the rest of the journey.
The ânobodyâ scene highlights both Odysseusâs cleverness but also his arrogance and those two traits define Odysseus throughout the entire story. Itâs a foundational aspect of Odysseusâs character and cutting the scene displays a shocking level of ignorance and disregard for the themes in the source material.
