For those of you who might not know, my mom has stage 4 terminal cancer. She was a federal employee when she had been diagnosed, and it took everything out of her. Trump had made some sort of deal with a bunch of federal employees back in Feburary or March I think, that if they put in their resignation, they would still be paid and have insurance up until like September. My mom could barely go to work in the first place, so she took the deal because it was a way for her to gain income while trying to find something to help with her cancer.
Trump just cut that, and so come June 1st, my mom will have no insurance or income at all. We're trying not to panic as a family, but that means basically she has no access to any medication, radiation, or any other such things that could possibly help her live for a little longer, or at the very least not in pain- and we as a family will be losing an entire source of income. We really don't know what to do, and I don't know what is going to become of me. My brother, his girlfriend, and I are already working and doing what we can, and it won't be enough without that income from my mom.
