cpc + the cops are more invested in maintaining the social power of adults over children than they are in the wellbeing of those children.

If you know of a kid who’s being abused, just talk to them. Ask them how they feel about calling cops/cps before you even think of touching the phone. This includes “mandatory reporting” scenarios. Become a safe person for them to talk to about things that they don’t feel safe telling anyone else because anyone else will call the cops and very likely make things worse. Be someone who can offer comfort or advice when they need it. Be safety and stability for them in a chaotic and dangerous world. You may find a point where you can offer them a way out of the abuse, but only do so with their consent. They know their situation better than you do.

but ykw at least i'm not on mount everest. at least i'm not paying tens of thousands of dollars to slowly suffocate in a 300-person line at the gates of hell. never in my life will i have to be steered in a hypoxic stupor through the maze of poop and corpses atop mount everest. on this earth a lot of horrible things can happen to you without your permission but there are a few that you have to opt into. you can just say no thanks! and be guaranteed never to have to be on mount everest. much to be grateful for actually

How are we at a point now where "trans men and transmascs don't experience gender euphoria" is a real fucking take that I'm seeing people post and agree with? "Oh, trans men and transmascs will never understand the moment when you finally put on a dress or skirt and feel like yourself-" chest binders. Packers. Getting a short haircut. Being called "sir" by a stranger instead of "miss" or "ma'am." Growing facial hair. What's even really being said here, that we don't experience gender euphoria, or that our gender euphoria is less significant?
