I keep getting anxious about my new job because I don't start until June 8th. I was thinking maybe they would change their minds or something. But then I got an email and it had more stuff regarding the job, so that's good! But now I'm worried that the person that told me that my first day is on the 8th was wrong and it's actually the first. Because someone was supposed to call with the address where we're supposed to do orientation, because that will be different than the place where I will be actually working. I have an idea where it will be, but I don't know the time yet. I thought they would call me this week, but I haven't gotten that call. I don't remember the name of the person that told me it would be the 8th, but I still have the number. The only thing I can think of is that if I don't get a call by Friday next week, I'll call that number back?

I got the call and I have an on-boarding appointment tomorrow! The next issue for me to get anxious about is that they're going to drug test me and idk if having thc in your system is a deal breaker 🥲 I live in a legal state and I got the job in the first place from a hiring fair. There were no stipulations regarding thc use and nobody mentioned anything. I'm pretty sure they're more worried about like, illicit prescription drug use since the job is in the medical field but you never know. I haven't taken any thc for a couple of weeks, but that probably isn't enough since I've been using it as a sleep aid for a while. I'm hoping their attitude towards thc is similar to general attitudes towards alcohol.
