I’ve been restless for a couple of days and my high spirits are gone. There are so many things weighing me down, so many unspoken thoughts that are trapped within my mind: I simply cannot keep any of that bottled up.

I made the hard decision of letting a close person go, and I don’t regret it one bit although it makes my heart sink. She wanted a future with me, heck, she even called me her wife and wouldn’t stop telling me how much she loved me, even though I spent that whole time living in her shadow and learning how to embrace a secret relationship. That did not happen of course.

I could not promise her that we’d be together because at some point it would’ve eventually happened. I think I’m better off on my own, honestly. No relationship will have me feeling like a caged beast anytime soon.
