Shenanigans

The Blood Prison’s plot still irritates me.

Naruto really has no reason to forgive Konoha for all the bull they put him through (not just in this movie either. Canon and filler both).

He’s a better man than I.

So, what if Konoha never arrived in time and Naruto gave up? Not necessarily a dark or evil AU. Naruto’s still Naruto, he helps out when he can, still inspires. But he’s disillusioned with large villages and close bonds. His own childhood trauma and fears realized. He’s been betrayed.

Made to believe that (nearly) everyone he cares about; thinks he’s a liar, criminal and dangerous.

His acceptance, his dream destroyed in an instant. His headband and ninja status taken, reputation likely destroyed.

Forced to endure abuse, assault and torture…all for what?

He doesn’t know.

Instead of waiting, instead of bowing his head and smiling, instead of forgiving and burying everything behind a mask of cheerfulness and stupidity. Instead of trying to explain or smooth things over.

Naruto leaves.

Ancient Irken definitely had wings and maybe even a little more!

Basically, every Irken is born with unique symbols/sigil’s, mainly on an arm. Hence the gloves and overzealous covering of appendages in the modern era. They’re sensitive to both the world and to others. The Magic thrums just below!

Even if history has been lost or twisted, convincing the whole of Irk that it is nothing but myths. Yet the marks remain ever present.

These sigil are usually only slightly darker than an Irken’s natural skin color when at “rest”. But “come to life” aka glow when using magic or under intense or emotional stress.

Perhaps slightly augmenting natural abilities (faster reflexes, sight or hearing) or fortifying the body (can resist poison, skin becomes tougher, etc.) for short bursts of time.
