[TRANSCRIPT]

There is a brief, tense moment of silence. Arti jumps down from the throne structure with a loud thud, then rushes towards the “guest” who, supposedly, has a scent just like her.

Artificer: “My scent? How come?” Artificer: (tapping Marbles’ chest) “Trick? Usurper?”

Marbles feels intimidated and she turns away briefly, unable to stand Arti’s sharp scent, which is filled with nose-burning cherrybomb-like powder. In turn, Artificer gives her a sniff back… and finds that there is something very familiar about it. She can’t put a finger on it, though.

Artificer: (in a stern voice) “You. Where you from” Marbles: (quietly) “Um… outer wall… but born here”

Arti straightens up her posture, then points directly at Marbles.

Artificer: “You smell familiar” Marbles: (a little unsure) “You smell… like cherrybomb?”

Now that Marbles can smell the scent clearly, something clicks in her mind. Suddenly, she remembers.

Marbles: “Cherrybomb powder and bloodtrunk…”

The scent brings back memories. Her mother used to craft makeshift grenades with cherrybomb fruit, but they had a hint of bloodtrunk in them because of how often she used its gel insides to treat light burns. This aroma combination is unmistakable, and the realization sets in.

Marbles: (in a shaky voice, eyes welling up) “…mom?”

The word echoes in Arti’s mind like a scream tearing through the deafening silence.

This strange slugcat fawning in front of her? She remembers her scent now.

Arti takes the Chieftain mask off her head, and throws it to the ground. The scavengers who gathered around look confused. Their infamous “ruler” was never seen in such broken state before.

The realization is too much for Artificer, and her mind shatters into a million pieces.

Artificer: (in a raspy voice) “Child…” Artificer: (screaming her lungs out) “MY CHILD!!”

The sudden shouting scares Marbles, who curls up and shakes in fear.

This is nothing close to what One had planned. These two slugcats should be fighting to the death by now. One frowns, feeling that something is terribly off. Three looks back at them, not sure what to do.

Arti reaches out to Marbles. She slowly wraps her arms around her child, and pulls her close into her chest. Marbs recognizes her mom’s scent again, and calms down, then hugs her tightly.

The mother and daughter are finally reunited.

Artificer and Marbles communicate in Yongasabi, a fan-made conlang for the slugcats of Rain World, created by @opashoo. Because of this, the scavengers around them can’t understand what the two slugcats are saying.

Don't expect much from this AU, it's something I came up with in class, so it won't be of good quality compared to other works (which none of you have seen, so it doesn't matter).

Act 1 Growing up

This Au will be divided in 3 acts, these being:

Act 2 Growing up together

Small Caine learning the bases of his programing, imitating humans and begin the most adorable little criture in this world, we also will see a little bit of the relations of the programers and how they get attached with they creation

Abel's born and a new purpose for Caine, Abel has to pass his training with Caine's help, is forbidden to make mistakes, He will learn bugs and glitches that will help him pass the system and penaltis.

After the "incident" Caine has to assume the consequences of his actions, Will He be abel to regain the trust of his programers?

Bueno gente se me ocurrió algo, algo malvado y lleno de angst B] El AU tendrá 3 etiquetas distintas en caso de que quieran filtrar los actos, esto es para los que quieran evitar los ladrillos que estoy a punto de lanzar y puedan bloquear etiquetas antes del golpe JSJSJS

No esperen mucho de este AU, esto es algo que se me ocurrió en clases, por lo que no tendrá muy buena calidad en comparación con otros trabajos (que ninguno de ustedes a visto asi que da igual)

Este au estará dividido en 3 actos, estos siendo:

Acto 1 Growing up

Caine chiquito aprendiendo las bases de su programación, imitando a los humanos y siendo la criatura más adorable de este mundo. También veremos un poco de las relaciones de los programadores y como se van encariñado con su creación.

Acto 2 Growing up together

Nacimiento de Abel y nuevo propósito para Caine, Abel tiene que pasar por su entrenamiento junto con la ayuda de Caine, no está permitido cometer errores. Aprenderá bugs y glitches que le ayudarán a saltarse el sistema y sus penalizaciones.

the first, obviously, is the eye. that comes from Luz nearly being petrified by belos! im not the first person to think of this, obviously, but i decided to make it a visual trait by making her eye gray and clouded, like a cataract.

the second are the lichtenberg-like scars across her arms, neck, and face. she actually has these all over her body, and they come from being disintegrated by belos and, as i imagine, put back together in a haste by papa titan! doing things fast was the name of the game at that point, resulting in the titan kind of just. gluing her back together with his magic, so to speak.

the third is her drooping eyelid! very subtle and it sort of blends into her daydreaming expression in my last drawing, but this idea is courtesy of @botmuffins! the idea is that the eyebrow scar affected the musculature of the eyelid beneath, affecting her ability to keep it completely opened, and is based off of some mild symmetry issues in Thanks To Them!

the fourth is the bandaged hand! that occurs during the events of a fic i'm still chipping away at, which relates very muchly to the scars explained thus far

the fifth is her slightly different hairstyle! again, has to do with events of the aforementioned fic, but i came up with it when looking at titan luz's long hair and her original short hair, wanting to combine the two somehow

and there are other scars not visible on luz's person in the image! im talkin about the little rib-thingies and chest emblem on her titan form, babey!!! the rib-thingy scars resemble those of regular flesh wounds, but the chest emblem more closely resembles burn scarring!
