Extremely canon-compliant. Most of the fun I get out of RP'ing as Zim comes from trying to wring even a shred of sincerity outta him amidst the numerous moments of ego tripping and hilarious stupidity. It's tough, but not impossible! I'm super down for shippy RPs with him, but they may wind up being a bit slow-burn. Here's some of the ships I like doing and the sort of dynamic I usually bring to the table. (I'm also open to RP'ing as Zim with OCs or doing more specific AUs and scenarios!)

ZADR - Even if the RP begins before things get romantic between them, Zim's thoughts are already pretty centered on Dib. He has a lot of complicated feelings regarding him, but is either unsure of how to vocalize them or flat-out unwilling to.

ZASR - Zim is annoyed by Skoodge's competence, and makes no secret of it. He tends to take his help and his presence for granted. Though, if it were to suddenly cease, he would notice and lament the lack of it.

RAZR, PAZR, & PRAZR - Probably the ""easiest"" romantic route for Zim. Though, depending on the dynamic, may still elicit complex feelings. Zim wants attention and adoration from the Tallests more than anything, but if they do anything which contradicts his ego, he will always push back to the best of his ability.

A tall Irken invader trying to figure out what he wants out of his long and privileged life. He's a bit disenchanted with the typical Irken lifestyle, but he'd sooner die than admit it. A model Irken citizen on the surface, but internally struggles with social interactions.

Bek tends to get along best with people he feels he doesn't have to perform Upstanding Irken Behavior for. He tends to clash with those who seem to effortlessly fall in line with Irken ideals, though he doesn't fully understand why that sort of person annoys him.

AEON

An Irken from a forgotten ancient colony that never had a connection to the control brains. He was the tallest of his colony until they were all blown up by Tallest Spork. While mostly friendly and outgoing, he has a petty, vengeful side to him.

Aeon likes people who have hidden or unexpected sides to them. He tends to snoop on those he's interested in to learn more about them. While it often comes off as creepy, he does it out of genuine curiosity for the person in question.

A Vortian botanist, and old friend of Bek's. They have a strong distrust of the Tallests and control brains. Perpetually overworked and tired of life, but holds a genuine fondness for plants and animals.

Kran is secretly a hopeless romantic, but tends to be completely oblivious when anyone takes an interest in them. They secretly write the alien equivalent of trashy romance paperbacks in their very limited spare time.

A weapons developer who specializes in explosives and bioweapons. She has a positive attitude and is always trying to make the best of life. She greatly enjoys listening to gossip and meddling in other people's issues and relationships.

Teira tends to come off strong. Despite this, it's rare for her to have genuine interest in the person she's talking to. When it happens, it tends to be with people who are exceptionally driven and motivated.

CHARA

Bek's self-proclaimed rival. She served as a commander for decades and thinks of nothing but garnering acclaim and accolades. Deep, DEEP down, she does crave connection - though she doesn't allow herself to think much about it. Married to her job.

Emotionally, Chara is the Irken ideal. She's so focused on her job that she has no time to deepen any relationships or contemplate her interiority. However, she very vocally idolizes Tallest Spork, and may have been interested in him romantically during their time in the Academy.
