But the controversy…

Heughan finds himself a curious juxtaposition. While feverishly adored by OL fans worldwide, he continues to fly largely under the radar in his homeland. “The show is extremely popular in the UK and the rest of the world, but it’s definitely more noticeable abroad” but that would appear to suit Heughan perfectly fine.

Is it a disguise? Can you now go to the grocery store or walk through an airport and people don’t recognize you?

Cait: I mean, I can do that anyway. Because I’m scruffy in my day-to-day life. They don’t expect a TV actress to be as scruffy as I am, it’s great. I’ll be standing with him and people will be like, “Sam, Sam, can we take your picture?” And then, like five minutes later, they’ll like, “Oh!” and realize it’s me, because they just think I’m this schleppy…I don’t know.

The show has been well received but it is always off when people recognise you in America or at airports and come up to you. It is very nice but quite strange. In Scotland we are very different, aren’t we? We do take it all with a pinch of salt. Gasglow is certainly a place where they will tell you if they don’t think you are anything special. I can go to the pub or go out for a meal in Glasgow and most of the time people have no idea who I am, but I have to say so far people have been really delightful when they do recognise me.”

To all the righteous and sanctimonious save the faux outrage. We all know that stills from the funeral have been shared and disseminated in DM’s here on tumblr and in the messaging apps for the past month.

In plain sight once again.

Ok lets break it down Anon. The front row seated Cait, a Male,Lorraine, Cait's Mum and Deidre. Reserved for immediate family. Perfect way to hide in plain sight as they knew some people might assume it was a brother.

Do Cait's brother's have blondish hair with a red tinge? No. Are Cait's brothers brunettes with hints of grey? Yes. Was the man sitting next to Cait a brunette? No. Hence not a brother. Was the man next to Cait a dead ringer for Sam? You bet. Was he Tony (lol)? Not even in an alternate universe.

Was he tall, broad shouldered and stood the same way Sam does? Absolutely. Does he have the same large protruding forehead as Sam and looks to be around 40 something? Yup. Has Sam worn hairpieces at events to cover his balding? Always. Did he and Cait display affection? Sure did. Are Cait's brothers a dead ringer for Sam? No friggin way. Do they have the same large distinct forehead that Sam has? Hell no.

I didn’t want to bother him and I was too shy to talk to him and my friend had arrived by then so we went to our seats in the orchestra. We were seated on the left side group of seats. A few mins after, Sam walks in (he was seating in the center area by the aisle on the 2nd row. I was diagonally maybe 4 rows behind his row on the opposite aisle. He had an empty seat beside him. Just before the play starts, the theatre starts blinking their lights to signal to the audience that the play is about to start. Just then an usher walks towards Sam’s seat followed by a tall, skinny lady with dark bob cut. She was wearing a black mask but I recognized Caitriona because of her walk. She has a “walk”. Anyway, he stands up to let her in and puts his hand on her back as she gets by and then sits down. I was totally surprised to see them together.

At intermission, they were quick to get up to walk to the lobby. I tried to spot them but couldn’t see where they went but they were back to their seats just before the 2nd Act started. At the end of the play after the curtain call, they were quick to get up with Caitriona grabbing Sam’s hand and an usher came to them and they followed her out to the lobby. I thought maybe they were led backstage to talk to James McAvoy. He was really good in the play.

Anyway, I thought I share this now since I just got back from NYC.
