A LOVE LETTER TO BABY BALFE-HEUGHAN

Standing next to Julia Roberts, Caitriona attends the premiere of her film, Money Monster, at Cannes Film Festival.   Dressed in a stunning, plunging v-neck, sheer black gown, all eyes were focused on her décolletage.  Perfect choice by her stylist… as hidden beneath the fabric is the silhouetted evidence of her unborn baby… known only to those who have knowledge of the truth.

Children are gifts…and, I believe that both Sam and Caitriona took no precautions to prevent conception.  And, yes, there’s no doubt whatsoever that this is indeed Sam’s child.  Look at the photo…you can see clearly the outline of her swollen belly, the tiny human protruding from her womb.  

This is not a ‘costume’ photo where you can compare the differences in the placement of her belt or ‘no’ belt.  This is an important industry event, and Caitriona is attempting to intentionally direct all focus to her bust line, averting her tummy area.  For comparison, look at the photo of model, Sarah Stage, during a similar pregnancy period.   Same body shape, same small, but unmistakable, ‘outing’ of her abdomen.  Due to the fabric content of Caitriona’s skirt, she is not wearing any type of ‘spandex’ undergarment to help conceal her ‘bump.’   Nor can anyone say that she’s only bloated…this is certainly not bloating.

Let’s “step away” from the revealing close-up pic for a moment.  Here, you’ll see a rare shot of Caitriona turned to the side, joining her film co-stars for an official photo op on the red carpet.  As she is walking, you can clearly see that she is pregnant.  There is no other explanation for the abdominal bulge that is so clearly on display.

This is a mother-to-be, glammed up for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, promoting a film alongside some industry heavyweights. She looks amazing; try and find someone who thinks otherwise. Just make no mistake about it:  Caitriona Mary Balfe was pregnant on the 2016 Cannes red carpet. You can try to keep your eyes up top (as her very skilled stylist intended), but if you’re doing that, you already know what we know.

As a haute couture runway model for 10 years, Cait is no stranger to high fashion and high heels.  So, why did it take TWO people to help her walk down the red carpet stairs?  With a thigh high slit, the skirt of her dress certainly wasn’t constricting her leg movements.  Based on what we can see, and what we know, we can only assume they were assisting her to keep her from falling and causing irreparable harm to her unborn child.

Sam posted this photo on May 15, 2016, saying that he’s feeling blue.  How appropriate as he met up with Caitriona, who after leaving Cannes, went to London for more Money Monster media press.   Caitriona posted this poem on May 18, 2016.   My guess after their romantic rendezvous in London.

Caitríona added a sweet and lovely squeeze to prove to Sam she was good with whatever had just happened.

And he said on a beach...then quickly got flustered. That's when Caitriona turned to him..you can see the rest. He was flustered, not upset and she calmed his nerves. But obviously 'raised' his physical anatomy in 'thanks'!!! And there are those that think he bats for the 'other' team..pffff, a team 'member' wouldn't salute his female companion with an 'up periscope'!

Fast forward to September when they were filming the birth of Brianna and the hospital scene with Claire, Frank and Newborn Brianna, we got a BTS where Tobias was holding the baby who played Newborn Brianna (who happened to be oversized for a newborn but I guess some people wanted to give that baby her screen debut). There was a short haired lady in the picture with the back to the camera that looked to me maybe Granny Heughan? Just speculating, folks!

Sam too was seen lurking during that first day of filming as attested to by fans who were given the "amnesia" donuts to forget about that sighting.

Just a quick side note, to tell you the negative Ride Galloway review that is all the rage in DMs and elsewhere made its way to Trip Advisor, too:

That is still just one (!) negative review, but the woman is definitely angry and determined to spread it around. Unlike the relatively obscure Google Maps, this is taking the discontent to another, more visible, Internet reviews tier. However, realistically speaking, it will be easy for the masses to take it like a personal glitch, unless more will come out.

And yes, Madam Mao dropping the bike in the middle of the ride seems to confirm my - perhaps mean - prior speculation that she probably inflated her own riding abilities, in order to be included.

I am also told there is a second review on Google, that being said, where Madam Mao is portrayed as her usual haughty and entitled self. Never a surprise.

A few things stood out to me from what she wrote.

First, leaving people standing in the sun while he gets photographed in the shade is not a great look. It’s not just poor organization, it comes across as dismissive, especially when people made the effort to attend, and when many of them were not exactly young riders looking to stand around in the heat for hours. That’s not how you treat people who showed up to support your event.

In general, the whole thing sounds less like a regional event meant to promote Galloway, the distillery, or the actual riding experience, and more like a PR video for Sam and co.

And that seems to match the content that came out of it. Sam with people. Sam talking. Sam riding. Sam posing for fan photos behind a rope, like some kind of museum exhibit. It felt more like a Sam fan meet than a family or community event.

Imagine for a second that this was a distillery owned by someone completely unknown. Would the owner still be the main product being promoted all weekend? Would most of the footage still revolve around him, his face, his ride, his interactions, his image? Probably not.

And that’s exactly the point that comes through in the rider’s review too. From what she describes, the focus seemed to be on him far more than on the actual product, whether that product was supposed to be the distillery, the ride, or Galloway itself.

Honestly, I’m still not sure I understand what the event was actually meant to be.

The other thing that really stood out to me was the motorcycle issue. If Steph genuinely couldn’t handle the bike, whether because she exaggerated her abilities or not, then to me that proves two things before anything else.

First, Sam has clearly never actually ridden with her to know what her abilities are.

And second, he doesn’t seem particularly concerned about her safety.

Many people will still try to either focus on the situationship, or showmance, or - what the hell -🎪, or find various excuses for S's behavior. Which is fine by me, as long as this is an open and assumed choice, not to be followed by the usual wailing in DMs and my inbox, every single time things go awry.

Rose-tinted glasses are fine, until they prove useless to explain or excuse everything. And I believe using our critical thinking abilities does not equate with gratuitous hatred, as long as we keep a constructive POV. If this is not your cup of tea, that is absolutely ok with me, and you will surely find your daily dose of cuteness in all the blogs that heavily rely on AI-generated 📸 or superficial content. This corner's collective ability to generate thoughtful and superbly written opinions and to bring interesting things to the table made all the difference. It is also the reason why many of us are passionately detested by people focusing on social media gossip details, but offering very simplistic explanations like 'if he did not like her, he wouldn't date her' to what is a complex tomfoolery, and not the first one.

Circling back to @lallybroch-pr-watch's excellent comment, I will simply add that there seems to be no excuse for what is clearly poor organization of an event that seems to be a whimsical endeavor, rather than part and parcel of a well-thought marketing strategy. I explained why I thought, with evidence, that Madam Mao's bike was evidently not paid for, but comped by the local dealership on a barter basis. Which emphasizes the inexplicable absence of her own bike for what was - one final time - a difficult ride for a beginner, in unfamiliar territory.

And before you blame the foreign fan, just think for a moment: if that was your time and your money, how would you feel, if your experience was frustrating?

I know I would never push things that far as that fan did -the Landcon, then the Macbeth Mommies' debacle were eye-opening experiences, for me. But that is a moot point, here. Time will tell if this is just an accident, or the sign of an ambitious project left to incompetent hands.

Getting to the distillery is NOT an easy ride, drive or however one got there. You have to make a concerted effort. Seems this woman really wanted to experience the actual 'ride' and festivities of the weekend. What I saw of Galloway was incredible scenery and remote, interesting places to visit. Did anyone actually take a photo with 'a local'?? Doubt it and I doubt many 'locals' would even want to have their photo taken. This is a small town, not a Disney Parade event. But as @lallybroch-pr-watch stated, this was not so much about promoting the actual town, or IMO distillery, but more so promotiong Sam on a motorcycle. Guess, this was the 2026 Sassenach Scotland version of what we saw in the past USA Sassenach tours.

All this boils down to two decisions, IMO. He desperately needs to scrap the current marketing team. Firing Ms Hearn was not the brightest idea, Alex! If monies was the issue, ditch the Aston Martin monthly lease payments! And, leave your very controversial personal life, out of your public business life. Those two definitely don't mix well.

Caitríona appeared in LA in early January (and stayed until March).

Sam would already be in LA. He was due to go to NZ soon to film Men In Kilts, but...

...He delayed his trip for weeks (He, in fact, had been postponing his trip to NZ since December 2021)...

The question is: why, really?

There may have been a convenient ‘motorbike accident’ to delay Sam in the same city as Cait while a delivery was made! Something that required some mummy recovery time at a nearby Pause.Studio???

Imo Number 5 came along between December 2021 and March 2022. Cait is heavily pregnant (trying to pass as postpartum) in the first pic and real life postpartum in March 2022. She posted her ‘first baby’ announcement knowing she would be showing third tri during Belfast promo/awards events. She needed to time the ‘birth’ announcement to allow for pregnancy cover. Clearly she had the baby earlier in 2021 because she filmed OL heavily pregnant and dates don’t work for filming that and an August ‘first birth’. She needed ‘August baby promo’ to seem postpartum when actually pregnant. They had to hit the PAUSE button in January 2022!!

Cait’s clearly been pregnant many times over the course of Outlander with Sam’s babies. They protect the ‘Single Fantasy Jamie, I mean Sam’ obsession and rewarded handsomely!

So here is Cait remarking that she doesn’t get recognized by fans when she’s out and about with Sam in her day to day, outside of work life. which is really an admission that she is going about with Sam in her day to day, outside of work life…

And OMG that “you always look glamorous” from Sam….When a guy finds you attractive even in everyday clothes and no make up those are the words of a partner in love, not of just a friend

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see this as a real love story. If it were, you would have no inclination of her or her child's life. He would have kept her out of the spotlight, out of the public's scrutiny. And she, the loving, doting partner, would be happy just being in his orbit. Isn't that how real life partners navigate their journey, together? Supporting one another, always....

Instead, the public is getting an 'in your face', I am here, present, and I am important show on steroids. All passed through a Google algorithum Tumblr blogger and multi Anon's knocking on various Tumblr blogs to see who's willing to take more bait. This is not real, this is a made up story to sell to the public, social media masses. Sam's public life is front and center, while his private life remains.....private.

At some point, this will end.

Question is....where will it end? How will it end?
