You’re not weaker than me anon. That’s not how it works. I look at the same exact information everyone else does, I just interpret it in my own way and that’s perfectly fine. Something that might be my biggest receipt might mean absolutely nothing to someone else.

There’s lots of things that make me sure they’re a couple. 

- Like their synced online times. 

- Going to Paris together in December 2013. 

- Sam killing spiders in Cait’s apartment in the middle of the night the month before. 

- Sam’s fist in Cait’s bed. 

- Sam in Cait’s house watching football at 1 am. 

- All the shows they’ve binged together. 

- The way they look at each other. 

- The way they behave around each other. 

- The amount of time they spend together outside work. 

- The way they’re each other’s number one fans. 

- Sam being obsessed with her baby bump. 

- The picture of them at the baseball game. 

- Sam saying if they were really together they wouldn’t tell anyone because why should they? 

- Having to do a denial interview in the first place. 

- Costa Rica. 

- Missing the PCA’s and both of them coming up with shady excuses

- Cait liking Sam’s IG picture so quickly the app couldn’t refresh itself.

- Miami but actually Spain. 

- #carparkibiza, 

- #oohdembuns.

 - Miss you.xx. 

- Nay contest. 

- Celebratory macaroons

- Luke saying Sam would disown him if he answered questions about a bachelor party.

Now, granted, it would be trivially easy to argue that my brain has been permanently rewired by years of shipping and that I am therefore an unreliable narrator when it comes to These Matters. Even so, every single time - and I do mean every single time - I encounter one of these posts about the Main Heroine, my immediate reaction is sheer bewilderment. I simply cannot fathom the thought process that leads people to sincerely, earnestly, in the innocence of their hearts, believe that THIS WOMAN ⤵️⤵️⤵️

. . . looked at this man ⤵️⤵️⤵️

and said, 'Yes. Husband'. Him. That guy. That specific specimen.

The mind reels.

Let the record show that this blog remains available as a repository for amusing anecdotes of this nature. Even those containing a subtle but discernible element of pot-stirring. [For what it's worth, I do not believe that the Protagonists, no matter how many children they have accumulated over the years, are personally moderating their social media accounts]

Also, credit where credit is due: the Main Character is genuinely funny here. Not accidentally funny. Not 'I'm choosing to interpret this as funny' funny. Actually funny. Relaxed, natural, effortlessly self-aware. Which is particularly striking because it immediately brings to mind his somewhat cringe-inducing and, if we're being honest, not especially successful attempts at similar humour in Love Again.

What Cait found in Sam:

A very down to earth man, ego-less, handsome, calm, witty, tall, charming, thoughtful, caring, smart, outdoorsy, fun, open to new ideas, a big heart.

What Sam found in Cait:

A beautiful girl with smarts, moxy, humor, talent, an “A” personality, natural, cultured/worldly, loving, giving, helpful, fun, drinks, can hang with anyone, passionate (and possessive).

So much that they have together like life experiences, values, and where they are from (UK) and then so much that they can learn from each other (acting/theater/modeling/public speaking).
