ok so,, this has nothing to do with any of the topics but I just wanted to say I have such a guilty pleasure for tampering with history- like not big history, but like buying something from the 90s just to unpack it and open it and use it instead of preserving it- as someone who loves the past, it makes me feel horrible, but its fun as hell too....
No no noooo I kinda disagree tbh. It's kind of like... I mean this is dumb, but it's weirdly REALLY upsetting to me to see anything that's supposed to be actively used instead being just kept on a shelf by some collector 😢
Ugh, what's some example... like idk, some toy kept in the original packaging or something. Old video game cartridges that have never been opened, stuffies that have never been hugged, pristine books that have never been read, idk. It just upsets me so fucking much 😭
Like this is something so cool and unique and fun and it wants to be enjoyed and used, not abandoned 🥺
