It is not the same as the Christian outlook of their "marriage to God", since Godspousing requires many different things and can have things the Christian branch refuses to step into. Godspousal can be sexual, to put it blankly, it can become sensual after many years of building this trust between one another like any other relationship. I would say it was sort of the same as an actual marriage, though this depends on each relationship and what boundaries they may have with one another.
