not on the main post bc it aint about that but this is why AI for sure can't write fic like aside from all the obvious and deeply distressing reasons why AI in fic is bad, the AI cannot watch your show it cannot feel the feelings of the characters it can't see a moment and think 'this thing makes me remember this feeling' or 'I recognise this character's actions in myself and I wanna write about it' the essense of fanfiction is a reflection of yourself and THE AI HAS NO SELF TO REFLECT ON but also IF YOU DIDN'T SEE THE THING YOU'RE JUST REFLECTING THE SHADOWS and that's some funky optical physics nonsense

“this character did not act in the most objectively logical way possible!” is not ! actually valid literary criticism

every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).
