Forcing myself to do some mending by going out of town to visit family for a few days and packing 3 shirts that have holes in them. The patches are the same fabric as the shirt, it's just faded a lot with washing.

and although the resemblance might be lost on most of the elves, who knew melkor in his fair form or not at all, i do like the idea of maedhros reflecting something of melkor's own appearance in the process of his 'returning from the dead' & fashioning of himself as a weapon... and if i was an orc and this guy i'm fighting looks at me with the eyes of melkor, my tyrannical god-master, i would also flee before his face

critically; you can always change how you write. It's good to experiment and challenge yourself. if you're feeling anxious that your writing has too many emdashes or three point sentences or whatever, stop using them. Or only use them where it'll have the most impact. Edit your work. You have options.
