This woodblock print is a celebrated modern masterpiece by the Shin-hanga virtuoso Shiro Kasamatsu (1898–1991). Titled "Spring Night - Ginza" (Ginza no haru no yoru), 1934, Japan. The artwork captures the modan (modern) romanticism of Tokyo’s premier shopping and entertainment district. Kasamatsu orchestrates an exquisite nocturnal palette of deep indigo blues, muted teals, and soft charcoal greys, dramatically illuminated by the warm, radiant glow of artificial streetlights and commercial signs.
