ps5 brain monday
Oh so THIS is the ps5 post. I can see why you all imprinted on it now thatâs hilarious
happy 1 year ps5 brain monday
Iâve been re-reading some chapters and I noticed something interesting. In the scenes that Juni criticizes Sayeon she does so telling her about how a single mistake may lead to one of her cellmates dying and how she shouldnât be fixated on earning points. Most important of all, I remembered an old post from Sleepacross about how, before joining the Corps, Juni used to be an ace student in her school.
So I understood, this is another situation of âpeople assume of others what they know about themselvesâ.
Everything that Juni tells Sayeon is what she thinks a younger her should have been told and warned about to not make some terrible mistakes. It is quite possible that Juni, when she was acting as her cellâs leader, made some bad decisions during missions while in the rush to get promoted to level 5, which led to her friends dying. She thinks Sayeon is doing the same mistakes and is doing her best to stop her from doing so.
What she doesnât realize is that:
- Sayeon does not have a need of perfection due to normal insecurities (or whatever influenced Juni pre-corps, although we donât know how her life was like). Her perfectionism is rooted in heavy trauma with her criminal family.
- Sayeon is not obsessed with gaining points just to climb the hierarchy, she has greater plans to reform/control the Corps as well as personal goals of revenge.
- She is not ignorant of the possible death of her teammates and is not prone to momentary mistakes thanks to her Gift. (Although that might not help her forever and someone could die.)
So TLDR: Juni sees and treats Sayeon as if she was her younger self while what she should be doing is treating Sayeon as a younger Captain Han.

do you have any friends that are 4x your age or more?
Do you have any friends that are 4x your age or more?
Yes
No
1) if you can find me a 160yo to be friends with, I will do so in a heartbeat, but until then no I do not.
2) this is a very badly-conceived question unless you're literally only asking like. KIDS. Because that is such a HUGE gap to the point of the question being laughable. A 13yo, the youngest age someone can have an account on tumblr to vote on this poll, would need to have a 52yo friend to vote "yes". By the time they're 16, they'd need to have a 64yo friend. the 18-24 demo is (i believe) the largest on the site. I don't think most 18-24yos have friends in the 72-96yo range.
I'm not saying that's impossible, obviously, but like... it's VERY unlikely. Plus once you pass 29, you officially can simply no longer have a friend 4x your age, given that the oldest (age independently verified) living person is 116.
(side note but shout out to Jeanne Calment of France, 1875-1997, oldest recorded and independently verified person to ever live, at 122 years. She lived on her own until she was 110, met van Gogh when he moved to her hometown of Arles, France when she was a teenager, and recorded a spoken word musical album shortly before she died. Absolutely fantastic.)
Anyway, as I said, this is a very badly-conceived question by the asker, the percentage of people who are even theoretically able to say yes is already pretty low, let alone taking into account how few people are ever actually going to be friends with people that much older than them. Not related to, not "I know someone this age" or "I'm fond of someone this age" but actually friends with them.
I voted yes because as I did have friends 60+ years old as a child and we'd still be friends now if not for the human lifespan, and that's kind of the only way this question could possibly be answered by anyone over the age of 25. đ

yo!! Iâm a disabled person (thankfully itâs pretty mild, I can still walk and even dance with some extra effort). Other disabled people, this is so important for us to start doing young if we can! Itâs easier to maintain muscle than it is to build it.

Honestly, probably the best social tip I could ever give you guys is literally just ask. Need to make a doctor's appointment but don't know how? Call the doctor's office and ask. Don't know the meaning of what someone said? Ask them. Don't understand the instructions you were given? Ask them to repeat or clarify. This has literally never failed me, no one's gotten angry, no one's refused to answer.
Even in situations where you think it might not work, I once accidentally missed a deadline to accept a job offer, so I called and asked if they could reset it and they did. Just today I called a doctor and asked how to schedule an appointment, the lady told me how, and then I did it. Didn't know if someone was being sarcastic or not, so I asked and they told me. Just ask.

This is true but I'm gonna be controversial for a second and say that I feel bad for jocks who get hit with The Injuryâ˘ď¸too. The Injuryâ˘ď¸ fucking sucks, man. Having something that everyone praised you for when you were young suddenly betray you and having to grapple with both a sudden loss of ability (whether it's something that can be recovered from or not) and figure out what your future looks like now that the one you had imagined for yourself (whether it was actually realistic or not) feels like it's been snatched away is brutal.
Yeah, like, maybe we shouldn't be shaming/making fun of people for either of these things!

I LOVE YOU OLD/ADULT TRANS PEOPLE!!! MAY ALL TRANSGENDER AND GENDER QUEER PEOPLE GET TO SEE OLD AGE, GREY HAIR AND JOY !!
The day I started testosterone, my wife found him on Tiktok. He was starting the same day I did. I felt like I was holding hands with him, going on this journey together. Seeing him again, happy with himself, loving himself, flourishing even though he had to wait so long, fills me with incredible joy and pride. It's never too late to be yourself. <3

I've seen so many posts lately like "trans men have got to get more feminine" and it's lowkey pissing me off because we haven't even normalized trans men being masculine yet. Have you not been paying attention to trans men when they talk about being kicked out of LGBT spaces for "appearing too cishet" like can we lock in and understand that sexuality and oftentimes gender aren't something you can visually tell before we start trying to normalize something that's already normalized
OP, I'd like to add something that is absolutely not meant to detract from your very good point but rather to enrich the discussion, I hope it's okay.
Something else I have noticed on top of what you describe is that very often transmascs (of any âtypeâ, gender identity, sexuality, and so on) that are not medicalized or not medicalized enough to pass are ALSO sidelined and dismissed, if not outright treated with hostility, in LGBT+ spaces, including ones that explicitly say they are 'trans inclusive'. So we are also sidelined if a person in these spaces deems us to be 'too cishet', but in the opposite sense - too much like a cis woman whose masculinity is not 100% irrefutable and unclockable.
And this applies not just to transmascs that choose to have a more 'feminine' gender presentation, but also just as much to transmascs that DO style themselves as masculine as possible but get still read as âtryhard girls wanting to feel specialâ by onlookers entirely because of physical characteristics they cannot (yet) change such as facial features, voice, height, visible breasts even through binders &/or tape, body fat distribution, etc.
So weâre essentially damned if we do and damned if we donât: we either arenât trying hard enough and are silly little girl interlopers bothering the Real Queers or, the second we start to pass a bit too well, weâre evil rapey threats scaring the Real Queers.
The entire system is rigged against our existence in LGBT+ spaces as equal and valued participants, because people either don't care if we live or die or actively want us to disappear.
This is what a real, qualified OBGYN will tell you about what women feel when they get an abortion
Dr. Willie Parker, who is trained as a gynecologist and OBGYN, is a hero for the pro-choice movement because heâs honest about the undiscussed aspects of getting (or not getting) an abortion. Watch how he gives a consultation.
That last statement about regret is so important, because so many people donât understand what it is or what causes it. Anti-choicers exploit this by manipulating pregnant people and creating doubt, which only increases the likelihood of regret, no matter what decision the pregnant person makes. You know what is best for you, even if it takes some time to figure it out.
