Black Menswear modelled by Black Men
Creative Director Rock Mitchell
The dude in bright orange with the orange umbrella that looks like a peacocks tail.... FAVE
Something by I love about Black Menswear is how theyāre not afraid of color and personality. Itās not just the same boring black or blue suit jacket every time. Itās also just very dapper.
YESSS i especially love the florals...
Every time I see this post I find a new outfit I love. Backwards Kangol hat but make it formal? I live!
sorry for staring i was just looking at the space where ur neck meets ur shoulders & thiking about it
Posts like this remind me of that one Big Mouth joke where Nickās older sister tells him that girls get turned on at the thought of a faceless man holding a baby in a baby bjorn. They were so right for that.
loving the lord of the rings so far
Foxes disguised as monks. On the left from Japan and on the right from Denmark.
It was a global problem
all i want for 2026 is that gigantic rancid AI bubble to finally burst in such a catastrophic way that the consequences will be so good and i'll never have to see another AI generated image ever again

its so weird to me that cis people will dislike their name so ardently and yet. not change it. you guys know thatās an option, right. no one can make you keep the shit name your mom gave you. no, not even her.
One of my friends in undergrad changed his name because he didnāt want to bear the name of his abusive and absent father. Itās been years since he did it, and he still says that it was the single best decision of his life.
One of my friends in high school changed his named as soon as he turned 18, so that the ethnic name his family gave him was finally the name reflected on all of his paperwork. He told me that he understood why his parents had given him an āEnglishā name, but that he felt that if he needed to assimilate in order to succeed, then that was a type of success that he didnāt want.
When I was on my way home from the courthouse after changing my own name, I got into a conversation with my rideshare driver, who was extremely interested once I told him what I was in court for, and wanted to know how Iād done it, how much it cost, was it difficult, etc. It turned out that his girlfriend had chosen the name āYo-yoā when she came to the United States, unaware of how rare that was as a name, and that she was frequently made fun of because of it. Neither one of them had realized that a name change was so easy, and he told me he was excited to let her know that she had options.
There was an intern at a summer job I had once, who changed her name to be the same name, but a different spelling. She said that she had no idea why her parents had spelled her name so oddly to begin with, and suspected that it was just an honest mistake either by them or by some nurse, but it had been a headache for her entire life, and it was a huge relief to not need to be correcting peopleās spelling on important documents anymore.
One of my exes legally changed his name to have an exclamation point, because he liked to sign his name with an exclamation point.
You can always change your name if you donāt like it. You always have that option. It doesnāt matter why ā it can be conformist or anti-assimilationist, serious or silly, a minor change or a major change. Your name is yours, and you have every right to change it to be whatever you want.
Holy fuck
This works best if you keep windows closed.
Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.
This was discovered as a more effective design during the 2020 US west coast fires.
https://tombuildsstuff.blogspot.com/2013/06/better-box-fan-air-purifier.html
A better more efficient and odor eliminating homemade air purifier than just taping a 20x20x1 filter to a box fan. Sometimes you need to
If you live on the west coast of the United States, fire season is coming and this is vital.
Weāve been using one, and theyāre great. Might try to make the double filter version this year.
theyve been doing a bunch of studies on this during the pandemic and this design is best! 4 filters and a shroud to optimize flow rate.
Corsi-Rosenthal Cube

Iāve personally used both the flat single-filter version AND the triangular two-filter version, and based on subjective personal experience I would argue that the benefits from the second filter, both in terms of airflow and filtration, are absolutely worth it. If you need a makeshift air filter and you have two filters to work with, build the triangle (if not the box, i have no idea how good that one works but based on the info here i presume itās a fair bit better.)
This trick works. We use it in my house.
If anyone wants aesthetic inspo or design ideas check R/CrBoxes
people NEED to stop gatekeeping making music like ohhhh i donāt have an instrument ohhhhh i donāt know music theory ohhhhh iām not gonna pay for some program. SHUT UP. take my hand.
you need NONE of that shit!!!!! thereās a website called beepbox.co. literally all you have to do is press things until it sounds a modicum of nice. itās easy itās free and it works on anything which has a browser because itās a website.
if even ONE person starts making music bc of this post it will be worth it.
making bad music is just as important and okay as it is to write badly or draw badly or sing badly. you ARENāT BEHOLDEN TO MAKE GOOD MUSIC. making music is not utilitarian HAVE FUN. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!
love how people will encourage people to just start making shit and see what happens when it comes to drawing and writing but when it comes to beginner musicians (music makers if you wish to be less formal) itās just COMPLETE RADIO SILENCE. it feels like no one even knows you MAKE music it just sprouts up from the ground one day and some guy picks it up. am i alone in this dark cave
Fuck it
I'm gonna try and make music
Call me betovan bc I'm deaf as fuck /j
HELL YEAH!!!
Alternatively if you wanna get into music producing in a more āproperā way, you still donāt need any money.
Ableton has excellent free websites to learn the basics:
Learning Music
Learning Synths
You can learn basically everything you need on YouTube. I recommend:
Mercurial Tones Academy
Dan Worrall
Bthelick
A lot of your favorite artists, mainly in electronic music, likely have done track breakdowns, you can watch those to learn how they do things.
DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) ultimately all do the same things, and Cakewalk is a great FREE fully fledged one. Sure it has some issues, and doesnāt have many plugins included, but it works just fine. All the music I released so far was made there, before I made the jump to Ableton.
As for VST plugins:
Vital is an excellent free synth
Native Instruments Komplete Start is a good free collection of plugins
TDR Nova is a great free EQ
Thereās a lot of others and I donāt wanna name everything Iām aware of here, but feel free to DM me for more (Or if you have any other questions and stuff too).
And as for samples, you can get a bunch of free ones at:
Cymatics
Ghosthack
Having good headphones is nice and what Iād recommend you invest in first once it comes to it, but even your current ones will probably be fine, mainly if you slap AutoEQ onto them to flatten the frequency response. And ultimately, music isnāt all about the mixing, the most important part is conveying an emotion.
I know this goes against the spirit of the original post a little, but I want people to know that getting into music production also no longer costs thousands, you can just do it at home on your computer without no money.
Yeah, there is still quite the learning curve, I get that, though itās also why itās managed to hold me as a hobby for so long.
I do however have something of the exact opposite variety too, the most simple way to make music I know of, and a wonderful little semi-social experience, along the lines of the game Journey:
The New PLINK! is the long overdue update of #plink by @DinahmoeSTHLM. Jam with friends and strangers all over the world.
hi op i think you should know that i did indeed make a song for the first time because of this
the thing about media literacy is that understanding why the author chose to specify that the curtains are blue is the same skill set as understanding that the way the author characterizes all black characters as angry or all chinese characters as meek and silent is racist. it is the same skill set as being able to identify when a news source is biased or when someone is feeding you propaganda. the ability to ask "why did this person choose to present this premise in this specific way?" is a critical skill in a world full of misinformation. why are the curtains blue? maybe it's a characterization detail. maybe it's extraneous worldbuilding. why is this character written as being right all the time? maybe you're intended to disagree with them. maybe it doesn't matter. maybe you should still ask why.
i read the book years ago, but it's still very funny to me that one method genghis khan used in controlling his empire was to marry his daughters off as queens to vassal states and then go, "now since you're my son-in-law, you have to fight in my battles for me" and just put his son-in-law in a place to for SURE get killed, thus leaving his daughter as the ruler of her new land.
like ig unfortunate if you actually liked your husband, but pretty W circumstances if you didn't. husband's a dick? just wait like one or two sons and then papa will handle that for you.
enjoy your new queendom, baby girl <3.

Rapists, and killers, too? Really? (Those on death-row?) The drug/prostitution problems are just a portion of USA criminals.
yes, all criminals. the moment you say āexcept X criminalā is the moment that people will try to convict their opponents as having committed X crime.
itās the same thing as whatās going on right now with people equating drag to some sort of child exploitation. ābut the children!!ā they wail, and people listen because oh, if drag is harming children, then drag MUST be BAD, so we HAVE TO BAN DRAG.
do you understand what iām saying? you canāt take away the rights of any category of criminal, because suddenly that category will be overflowing with people who totally 100% definitely committed that horrible crime.
Just to look at this from one step further back, let's accept the premise. Let's imagine that there is a type of crime that is 1) horrible evil irredeemable universally-agreed-upon bad, and 2) could somehow be prosecuted with 100% accuracy and 0% bias. Yes, even then, those criminals deserve a right to vote.
Do you they're going to like vote themselves out of jail? Vote to make murder legal? What exactly are you afraid of.
Realistically they'll just... vote just like anyone else. They'll help elect city councilmembers they think will better their hometowns, and presidents they think will best serve the country. They might even vote in their own interests! To reform prisons, fund rehabilitation programs, and outlaw predatory practices by telecoms. Are you saying you don't want any of those things?
And even if there were one of those super-duper-unambiguously-evil totally misanthropic death-row convicts, who's scheduled to be execute the very next day and just wants to sow chaos and watch the outside world burn however they can... what's the worst they could do, vote republican?
Taking people's rights away isn't bad because it might happen to someone you like, it's because taking people's rights away is bad.
do people think that convicted serial killers are going to vote to legalize serial killing
