I almost didnt go swimming or to the beach all summer because of how anxious and uncomfortable just thinking about being in a wet t shirt and sports bra would make me.

But this company saved me. They’re called Outplay and seem to be mainly advertised towards females but not to the point where navigating the website is unbearable. The flatsea compression shirt is the most comfortable binder I’ve ever worn. Its thicker than a bathing suit but doesnt make you overheat and you dont stay wet longer than normal after getting out of the water either.

My husband is currently in the hostipal ( for his top surgery that was fortunately to be completely covered by insurance ) and will stay at the hostipal for the next 24 hours. Unfortunately, I can’t stay the night with him at the hostipal because I have to go back to the shelter where we live to sign for the bed to ensure our place. If I don’t sign for the bed we WILL be locked out. Anyone mind sparing money for the 3 trips I will need to go home and come back to pick him up and bring him home. While doing well he can barely walk much less walk up the 5 flights he’d need to alone.

Each trip to between the shelter, in the Bronx to the hostipal in lower Manhattan is $45-50 dollars. I need to make 3 trips so a total of $150 would be deeply appreciated.

Obviously you don’t need to pay it all, a few dollars adds up with enough people donating. Appreciate the help. 🙌🏾✨

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to address something.  I’ve been made aware that my “trans men are men” illustration looked like all the men drawn were white.  Although this was not my intention, I see now how it looked, and I apologize for that.  Above, you can see the now edited illustration, in what is hopefully a more inclusive form!

I never intended any malice, but since I am one person who is far from perfect, I may accidentally do things from time to time that are insensitive.  If anything I do strikes you like that, please feel free to let me know in a constructive and healthy way, and bring my awareness to it.  I will never intentionally create something insensitive, so if I do, it is out of ignorance and I would much prefer to be let know of such so I can adapt my behavior.

This blog was originally made as an outlet for me and my experiences, and it is something I do for fun.  I would be horrified if anything I did for fun was hurting someone else.

Thank you for reading, and again, I’m sorry for my oversight!  I will make sure to be more aware of this in the future.  

First, this advice is for if and only if you are safe. Please, always consider your safety, both mental and physical, before anything else.

Now, there are a few things you can try!

You can literally correct them every time they use your deadname, which is hard and slightly confrontational and is one a lot of people (myself included!) can be super uncomfortable with, but is a very good option if you’re okay with it!

You can ignore your deadname! For example, when I came out to my parents if they used my deadname I just wouldn’t respond until they realized it and used my real name! This one was better for me because it’s slightly less confrontational, although depending on your family it can be a bad choice.

If you don’t want to completely ignore them when they use your deadname you can ask something along the lines of “who?”/“who is [deadname]?”

Sometimes, even just having someone else call you by your real name around them can help, so maybe if you have a friend that you’re out to you can have them come over to your house and have them use only your actual name, they might be more willing to follow if it’s socially expected of them!

Again, this is only if you feel safe and can be tricky! You can do a mix of these things, one of them, none of them, all of them, or something else entirely! It is completely up to you, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If you don’t feel like you can do anything to correct them for whatever reason that’s okay, ask for reassurance from people you know are safe when you need it, and take care of yourself!
