wish my life was like a 90’s movie where all my friends work in record stores and bookshops and coffee shops and we see really cool bands in small little clubs and get breakfast together and like hang out on roofs and shit

One of my first failed relationships taught me the vital lesson that when you allow things to fester, every conversation becomes a confrontation.

so in love with people who’re just. unapologetically themselves. they don’t give a damn what you think about the pastel plushies decorating their bed, nor what you think about the pins of their favorite cartoon characters on their backpack. they will continue writing their fanfictions regardless of whether you think it’s cool or not; will continue reading their comfort books in spite of any stringent critics; will continue watching and rewatching their so-called cheesy romcoms because they enjoy doing so. they will continue prioritizing their happiness over pleasing people who will never be pleased and quieting white noise that will never be quieted.

ive decided that its going to be possible for me to buy a house and have kids and a farm and travel and grow my own food and live comfortably until i am very old and then die happily. to hell with millennial/gen z apathy.

Don’t allow someone else’s action or inaction to change you. Their choices and perceptions are a reflection of them, not you. You don’t need to emotionally engage with their reflection. Practise remaining neutral. Give yourself permission to be your authentic self for you first.
