i genuinely cant get over how fucking awful gachiakuta fans are when it comes to spoilers. the surge of edits that came only AFTER the anime was already out that totally lacked any spoiler warnings or had it very small in the captions and spoiled the biggest plot twist in the series. people literally dropping the act of love panel unprovoked even on totally unrelated gachiakuta videos or just straight up saying what the plot twist was for no fucking reason. ive seen anime fans say theyre spoiling it for others because it was spoiled for them. on youtube, people specifically comment the plot twist on anime only clips or while replying to people on anime only clips who are speculating
its not even manga readers being careless. theyre doing this shit on purpose. they WANT to ruin it for other people. i wasnt in the aot or jjk fandom when the spoiler pandemic was going on, so idk how bad that was, but this is the worst case of spoilers ive personally witnessed in a fandom
i was very lucky and only barely got spoiled something that didnt prevent me from being shocked before reading the manga for myself, but it makes me so sad and frustrated for the fans who never got to witness the plot twist on their own. i was really looking forward to seeing peoples reactions, and it made it so that the fandom and comment sections were filled with a lot negativity. fuck all of yall who are determined to ruin it for everyone (tumblr isnt really to blame because i dont expect spoiler warnings from it due to the way it functions and stuff, but i needed to vent)
