1. Once there was a pair, that wanted to addopt him, when he was a kid. They spended some time with him, bought him toys, but they decided that they resigned from it later on for some reason. (Maybe they couldn't really get along, because YC have his traumas and he had hard time opening to people)

2. He had a lot of friends... But online xd Maybe he even had a girlfriend/boyfriend, who he didn't ever met in real life and who was leaving at the other side of the country lol

Once he felt in love with some guy in his class and that... didn't went well xd He didn't confessed or anything like that, because he would rather die than do that, but I imagine that some people seen him staring or something and started bully him about being gay... They already bullied him for not having any Trust tho, so it was just another reason

4. He's really good with kids and when he was a teenager, all kids in orphanage loved him and maybe he even still stays in contact with some of them, but also... This place is practically build of bad memories, so I definitelly see Yang Cheng wanting to never have anything to do with it ever again

5. He got his first job, when he was still a teenager and bought himself a phone, when he got his first money (since chinese orphanages rather don't do that iirc) and he was SO SO HAPPY to have something like that. It propably was the wealthiest thing he had and could afford, he practically spend all the money he earned. Unfortunatelly, his classmates broke it after a few days of him having it, so he wasn't happy for too long. IT WAS EXPENSIVE. He propably cried, because omg, I would cry so much

6. He was a little confused about a lot of things, once he got out of the orphanage, because no one really teached him any basic things about being an adult and having responsibillities, so he was VERY anxious about anything involving money (he can't save them for shit, YC can eat air, but he have to buy this very necessary E-Soul's action figure) and official matters. Looking at his home (I'm not sure if I can call this thing a house xd) his parents also didn't had much money, he would inherit? Idk

8. He listens to things like Adele or Amy Whinehouse mostly, beside Cyan, but I can also see him listening to Olivia Rodrigo, especially her "I'm such a fucking loser" songs, cause... relatable xd

9. I REALLY LOVE the concept art of him wearing jeans full of holes, because they broke, but it's like his style now, cause I HAVE SO MANY OF JEANS, THAT DIDN'T HAD ANY HOLES, WHEN I BOUGHT THEM XD But I still wear them lol cause ✨️fashion✨️ so like whatever. Buuuut also bisexual cuffed pants, I can't be really angry about it, if we got cuffed pants. ANYWAY, I like to think that he actually loves more rockish/techwear things, but he was too poor and didn't had a courage to really wear it before he became a hero. I ALSO like to think, he wears some piercing hihihi

10. I like to think that they brought a couch to the warehouse one day and they sometimes sleep on it, while working all day or have some movie nights with the projector Shang Chao got or bought, idk (I love to think about Shang Chao casually buying random expensive things for Yang Cheng and Xia Qing and he's so so chill about it and stupid YC can't be happy, because he thinks how poor he is and is super jealous xd (Alexa, play Jealousy Jealousy by Olivia Rodrigo)
