I'd like to share this idea with you; it came to me when I was wondering how I would prove the scientific validity and authenticity of astrology if I were a researcher. I've seen this topic discussed before, but I'd like to contribute my thoughts.

"Sometimes I think astrology isn’t really about us at all - it’s about time.

The inner planets tell us who we are.

The outer planets tell us when we are."

Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto move so slowly that no individual can “own” them.

They describe the collective psyche, the mood that hums in the background of an era,

Pluto in Virgo dissects the system; Neptune in Scorpio spiritualizes the shadow.

Psychology, therapy, holistic medicine, environmentalism - all born here.

Uranus crossing Virgo into Libra rewires our ideas of equality, gender, and work.

This was the age that invented self-help.

The spiritualization of science began here - the microscope became a mirror.

This is globalization on fire: ideas, cultures, religions exploding across fiber-optic lines.

Neptune and Uranus in Aquarius dream of technology as salvation - the internet as Eden.

MySpace, blogging, early social media, all born from this conjunction.

But Sagittarius can preach - and Pluto there gave us ideological wars,

the rise of extremism, “freedom” as a weapon, and truth blurred by information overload.

We thought we’d connect the planet.

We did - but we also burned through it.

Everything solid crumbles.

Neptune in Pisces dissolves boundaries completely: spirituality, art, escapism, empathy, chaos.

Uranus in Aries sparks the age of the individual hero; in Taurus, the rebellion becomes financial, environmental, bodily.

This is the age of activism and burnout.

We meditate with apps, manifest abundance, and revolt on social media.

We’re trying to dream responsibly.

If you strip away the mysticism, what’s left is this:

Astrology might be the oldest way humans have tracked collective psychology.

It’s not predicting - it’s pattern recognition.

This was a nightmare. It starts as excitement that there are so many different ways to classify the nakshatras, then it sort of turns into a bit of overwhelm. The big thing I'm missing is the deities, which I plan to add on later. I will have to do separate notes on all the deities/gods to make sure I'm getting the appearances right.

I will probably leave certain things out like the gender categorical system, birds, trees, gemstones. I probably didn't need to bother making a chart for the directions/movements. Might also expand on existing notesheets if needed.

I'm going to pull my hair out if I come to realize later that I messed some things up.

Venus and Mars in the 8th house as the 1st and 7th lord is the type of chart where relationships change your entire life. Not in a cute we hold hands at sunset way. I mean the kind where one relationship can completely destroy you, rebuild you, expose your shadow side, heal old trauma, awaken obsession, deepen intimacy, and change how you see yourself forever

And since it's both the 1st and 7th lord involved the relationship axis becomes intense by default. Your identity and your partnerships get tangled together deeply. 1. Misogyny + Purity Culture:

Historically, women’s sexuality was seen as something to protect, contain, or possess, while men’s sexuality was framed as something primitive, to be tamed or controlled.

• When women masturbate, it’s perceived as “empowerment” or “liberation” because it breaks out of that patriarchal prison.

• When men masturbate, it’s often viewed as lazy, perverse, or pathetic—a sign of failure to get a “real” woman.

2. Porn Culture vs. Erotica Culture:

• Women’s masturbation is often aestheticized—slow, sensual, story-driven.

• Men’s masturbation is shown in porn as aggressive, fast, utilitarian. That feeds into the idea that one is “beautiful and valid” and the other is “gross and sad.”

3. The “Lack” Myth:

• A woman masturbating = “choosing herself,” which often indicates a form of inner power.

• A man masturbating = “no one’s choosing him,” seen as lack, not choice.

🔮 THE ASTROLOGY BEHIND THE DYNAMIC

Now this is where it gets juicy.

THE SOLAR MASCULINE (Sun, Mars) VS. ☽ THE LUNAR FEMININE (Moon, Venus)

• Masturbation is ruled by both Mars (arousal, instinct) and the Moon (personal habits, needs).

• The perception of male vs. female masturbation is a cultural projection onto the Solar vs. Lunar archetypes.

When men masturbate, astrologically they are expressing internal Mars energy (desire) without a Sun outlet (externalized will). This is why it’s seen as “wasted” solar energy—because patriarchal culture only values action with visible reward (i.e. a woman, a conquest, a result).

In some twisted patriarchal logic, ejaculating alone is failure unless it serves the ego (Sun). That’s why culture shames it—it isn’t “productive.”

🌙 FEMININE SELF-PLEASURE ASTROLOGICALLY:

• Moon = Inner world, self-soothing

• Venus = Pleasure, beauty, receptivity

When women masturbate, they are embodying Venus and Moon—indulging in self-love, nurturing their body’s beauty, satisfying emotional or sensual cravings. Culturally, this aligns with the romanticized idea of the “feminine in flow.”

Thus, society celebrates it as an act of feminine reclamation, especially when paired with Venusian language: candles, baths, slow fingers, music. It’s sold as luxury, self-care, healing.

THE EARTH AND BODY CONNECTION

There’s also something deeper:

• Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), which are inherently feminine, rule the body, routine, physical touch.

• Masturbation is a Taurus ritual (ruled by Venus) for women.

• For men, it gets filtered through Mars (Aries/Scorpio)—faster, needier, rougher. That’s another reason it’s often seen as less pretty, less poetic.

We’re in an Age of Aquarius transition now—so these archetypes are being dismantled.

Level-Up Your Witchcraft

Find ways to practice daily. Start small with more energy manageable spellwork, like daily tea/kitchen magic. Try out planetary magic to help plan spells and rituals ahead of time. Daily practice helps novice witches to grow their abilities to handle and manipulate energy in greater capacities.

Daily prayer. Remember, praying doesn’t always have to be directed towards spirits or deities. Praying for your own personal power is extremely empowering. Here’s a great video from one of my favorite magical mentors on the topic.

Wear a crystal or oil programed as a magical enhancer to help amplify your will while casting. This was a game changer for me.

Discover & follow your path. Many witches are encouraged to learn many casting methods and types of magic when they are beginning their journey. I considered myself an eclectic witch for eight years before realizing what speciality of witchcraft fit best with me. Once a practitioner focuses on their most suitable path, things feel like they unlock naturally and magic feels more intense.

Read witchcraft adjacent nonfiction. As you dive deeper into most practices, what’s useful won’t be a correspondence cheat sheet or a spell book, but actual history and science. Reading books on quantum physics has helped me develop my own magical theory. Historical & geological references can help witches connect with their ancestral magic. When witches open their view of magic to include everything around them, any topic can become magical exploration and information for the grimoire. Correspondences can be discovered the old fashioned way, through discernment and for yourself.

Routine spell management. Reinforce wards or cast spells routinely in whatever manner works best for you. That could be weekly, monthly, or seasonally. Are you routinely cleansing under the New Moon? Maybe your wards are cast seasonally.

Write your own spells. Everyone loves a good spell book, but if all your casting are other people’s spells, you may not be reaching your full potential.

Meditate. Fifteen minutes a day will unlock more than you ever dreamed possible. I read in a mindfulness book once that meditating eliminates resistance, allowing what you’ve been asking for to flow into your life uninhibited. It also enhances your intuition and recalibrates your mind and body.

Master a method of divination. Tarot, runes, anything! Divination allows the witch to answer their own questions regarding spellwork, better plan, and communicate with allied spirits. It’s the first thing I would tell a young witch to learn.

the most fundamental aspect of human design is the classification into five energy types, each with a unique strategy and aura. these types help individuals understand how they best interact with others and the world.

★ manifestors: have an initiating energy and are here to make things happen. they have a closed and repelling aura, designed to create space for action and independence. their strategy is to inform before they act, which helps them avoid resistance from others.

aura type: closed and repelling purpose: create impact and initiate action manifestors have a powerful, dense aura that is closed off to others. unlike other auras, which are open and interactive, the manifestor aura is designed to push energy away. this repelling quality allows manifestors to carve their own path without interference, giving them the freedom and independence needed to initiate and act according to their own impulses. their aura creates space around them, keeping others at a distance unless they are invited in. this helps manifestors protect their autonomy and ensures that their initiating energy remains clear and uninterrupted. interaction with others: because their aura is closed, manifestors may feel misunderstood or alienated, as others can struggle to read their energy or know their intentions. this is why manifestors are encouraged to inform others of their actions before they take them. informing helps reduce resistance and eases the tension their aura can naturally create. when manifestors inform, they allow others to align with their energy, creating harmony and cooperation instead of conflict.

First thing I found is actually that Brigid is associated with water and springs so water would be a perfect offering

She is associate with the Hearth/Home. The hearth is often immediately assumed to be the kitchen as wood stoves historically provided warmth for the families but now your hearth can be wherever you feel most comfortable and at home 🧡

Celebrate imbolc! Simmer pots are a great smelling, low energy way to do that!

Florals! Flowers flowers flowers everywhere! Brigid is associated with Spring!

Straw/hay was actually commonly used to welcome Brigid and her gifts into the home and would make a great offering!

Brigid is a goddess of protection and fertility so if you're trying for a baby! Do it to honour her

Alternatively! Take your birth control as an offering

Practice safe sex!

Brigid is revered as a healer, so take your meds babe!

Brigid is also associated with poetry and wisdom which means reading or writing poetry in her honour is a great offering for her

Domesticated animals are also sacred to her so take care of your furry, scaly and slimy friends

Dyeing your clothes, knitting or crocheting

Brewed drinks such as coffee, tea, beer or mead
