Witch tip:
If you are burying a spell jar that is for trapping something in somewhere that you worry it will be found, superglue the lid. This will ensure that if anyone happens to dig it up, they can't open it.
I haven’t given it a try myself, but I was digging through my spice cabinet today and realized everything bagel seasoning is probably an incredible protective agent. Mine has garlic, onion, salt, sesame, and poppyseed but those alone would make for a beautiful grounding/protective spell in your breakfast! ♧
Witch tip: Another way to use scraps is to dry your used teabags:
Squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
Carefully open the bag (some tea brands will just unfold, others will need to be cut).
Evenly spread the contents out, either on the bag itself or on a plate.
Then let them dry in a sunny dry place (you may need to agitate them once or twice to ensure even drying).
Once dry, store them for later use in spells.
Bonus tip: You can also save the dried bags and reuse them as a small biodegradable spell packet or as quick burning petition papers.
*Please make sure the bags are biodegradable and not plastic (thanks @scrap-weaver for pointing this out in the tags).
Witch tip: If you use a cast iron cauldron (or other such cast iron conduit) for your craft, remember to season it.

Always check the clearance section for...
...coffee filters and cupcake cases. For some reason, they're often in the clearance section. I rarely pay full price (if ever!) yet they're perfect for making spell sachets. The coffee filters are large and can hold a lot of herbs and other ingredients, while the cupcake cases are often coloured and/or decorated so you can use colour and symbol correspondences. The paper of both absorb essential oils well too. I recently made a coffee filter spell sachet to help me get control of my messy garden (not a euphemism!) I started by writing an intention on a coffee filter, filling it with plant material from the garden, and adding essential oils corresponding to cleansing and beauty. I put the sachet on the window sill facing the garden. So far so good. The family - without being asked to - has been really busy this week clearing the garden. They also biodegrade, so you can bury them if the spell calls for it.
Keychain Talisman
Use beads, crystals, charms, ribbons, knot magick, etc. to create something for your intention. Carrying it as a keychain gives your spell strength by keeping it close to you, embedding it with your energy often. Keeping a spell with your essentials (keys) emphasizes its importance. The sacrifice comes from knowing it may break with constant wear. Which gives you the opportunity to refresh!
