Three Thousand Worlds

This is a post with links to all of the Studio Ghibli Stills galleries on Imgur, and their counterpart Zip files on Mega for easy download. The galleries consist of stills captured from Studio Ghibli films for use as desktop wallpapers. The Studio Ghibli Stills project is now complete. As of December 2025, however, Imgur is blocked in the UK (where I live). This means that I can’t access Imgur, and therefore can’t update anything on that site. This only really affects the All In One version, Avatars collection, and the When Marnie Was There stills. Mega is unaffected though, so everything can be found there in Zip files.

Hey! You're welcome; glad you like them. And yeah, requests are okay! I went and captured these same frames from my copy of Nausicaä, which you can find below. Interestingly, the images you sent are 2 pixels taller than mine (with the black bars removed). I'm not sure why that would be, but I don't think it's much of a problem really. But yeah, there's arguably not that much difference between what I've been able to capture and the images downloaded directly from Studio Ghibli. Their stills/frames are brighter, a bit sharper, but with more noise. The resolution is 1920 x 1038, and the file size is quite small (<400 KB). The stills I've captured are therefore darker, not as sharp, but noticeably less noisy. The resolution is 1920 x 1036, and the file size is much larger, each over 1.5 MB - if you download these images and they don't match up with these metrics, get back in touch and I'll upload them to Mega so you can get the correct version. Otherwise, I'm not sure what more can be done to get a higher quality version of these frames, especially considering that the film is from 1984. It's possible that a 4K resolution version of Nausicaä exists, but if so, it's unfortunately not the version I have. Anyway, here they are for your consideration:
