My kid said something to me the other day that stopped me in my tracks. We were discussing the concept of smart house technology, and I was talking about things it could do or that I would want to do with it. He said he was an absolute technological novice, and I explained to him that he never really had to understand it the way that I do because of the state of it when he was growing up. but he also said that it didn't excite him in the ways that it does me because he grew up with "Big Tech", and I grew up with technology that got "Big". It's such an interesting distinction and puts the younger generation's move towards the analog in to a light I hadn't quite considered.
