i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.
And I tell myself: a moon will rise from my darkness

hey did yāall know that the SSI $2000 asset limit hasnāt been increased since 1989? [pt: 1989?]
$2000 in 1989 is almost $5500 in 2026.
People always bring up that Michael Jackson was abused as a kid when his pedophilia is addressed. Like, I donāt care, doesnāt change that he was a disgusting piece of shit. Both things can be true: Michael Jackson was abused horrifically as a child AND he was a pedophile. Listen to Beat It, I donāt give a shit. You people will anyways. I just wish people didnāt act like itās this craaaaaaaaazy thing to say he was a pedophile. What grown man sleeps in the same bed as little boys? Gets āmarriedā to one? Neverland for fuckās sake. Some of you will always have your heads in the sand about these things. Very willingly.
He was in possession of CSAM, by the way.
i have zero respect for religion i donāt care. you can stand ten toes down on it all you want, god isnāt coming save you cuz it aināt real š like yes thereās a magic man in the sky who controls our lives. mhm yes that makes sense

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet and a female by any other pronouns would still be oppressed in a patriarchy
today i learned that the finnish word forĀ āhazardous wasteā is ongelmajƤte, which can also translate as āproblematic garbageā and my roommate and i immediately agreed this is a word that belongs on tumblr.
Your fave is ongelmajƤte
in german itās Sondermüll which means special trash and that too belongs on tumblr
One manās ongelmajƤte is another manās sondermüll.
In my time identifying as ftm I truly believed that āterfsā hated me and wanted me to be a barefoot pregnant housewife. That was what my community told me over and over again. It made me terrified to acknowledge the ways that mtfs behaved and how I was oppressed for being female. Itās a complicated situation because the reasonable radfems understand that pushing leads to more harm than good. A lot of ftms have been severely abused and we have strategies to shut down our thoughts and retreat when presented with the idea of female solidarity and love. Since most feminist women understand that peaking has to come at its own time, the only radfems that most ftms encounter are asshole ones who call them names. I donāt know if I have a solution to this because something as simple as a feminist reblogging a post is seen as a sin to the trans community and that burden falls, as always, on female individuals
I dislike the way that people dance around the oppression of women when it comes to conversations about history. Lots of people acknowledge that women were seen and treated as property, but the horror of that experience is rarely conveyed. When teaching about women's rolls in ancient cultures there is always that comment about women not being able to own property, that they were property themselves, and were expected to be submissive to men. But what does this actually look like?
It looks like rape. Like mothers being seperated from daughters. It looks like being forced to cohabit with and serve an owner who will force himself on you and breed you like stock. It is the sadness of miscarriage and the realisation that your body won't hold up. It's mutilation and violence. It's watching the deaths of your friends knowing that none of them lived a truly happy life. It's watching your daughter grow up knowing that she will be sold into servitude and raped until she dies, the same fate you face. In some cases you didn't even have a name.
Women's oppression is the oldest form of oppression, and yet we are still so strongly gripped by patriarchy that there is a refusal to acknowledge what that actually means. We have barely even started earning our rights in the west, and our sisters still face the terror of what I have described above. Women are always one step away from losing everything, and yet the movement meant to fight for women's liberation is being overun by men and misogynistic women. It's easier for them to uphold the status quo than challenge it.
Women need to learn their history, the grim and horrifying reality of it. The truth of our existence under patriarchy. If we don't seek out this truth, then history is doomed to repeat.

If trans women would just acknowledge that they're men who alter themselves to look like women, in order to ease dysphoria, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
I'm all for men wearing skirts. I'm all for men enjoying whatever stereotypically feminine things they enjoy. I'll even support medical transition, provided you're over eighteen, understand the health risks, and have faced persistent dysphoria.
The problem is that they've redefined "woman" to be a feeling. I can no longer use "woman" to discuss the tangible reality of having a female body. Presenting as women isn't enough for them, they have to be women.
Not only does this erode my ability to discuss sex-specific issues, but it leads to self-identification policies that allow men into female-only spaces. Female-only spaces that were created because of the physical threat men pose to women.
I was accused of "driving a shiv between cis and trans women," when I tried to discuss how cis women, face different issues from trans women. I didn't even say that trans women aren't women, but acknowledging a difference at all was enough to elicit hostility. (Their follow-up sentence was, "Someone should drive a shiv through you.")
My issue with the trans movement isn't dysphoric individuals trying to feel comfortable, but the denial of how biology impacts our lives.
