i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.

today i learned that the finnish word for ‘hazardous waste’ is ongelmajäte, which can also translate as ‘problematic garbage’ and my roommate and i immediately agreed this is a word that belongs on tumblr.

In my time identifying as ftm I truly believed that “terfs” hated me and wanted me to be a barefoot pregnant housewife. That was what my community told me over and over again. It made me terrified to acknowledge the ways that mtfs behaved and how I was oppressed for being female. It’s a complicated situation because the reasonable radfems understand that pushing leads to more harm than good. A lot of ftms have been severely abused and we have strategies to shut down our thoughts and retreat when presented with the idea of female solidarity and love. Since most feminist women understand that peaking has to come at its own time, the only radfems that most ftms encounter are asshole ones who call them names. I don’t know if I have a solution to this because something as simple as a feminist reblogging a post is seen as a sin to the trans community and that burden falls, as always, on female individuals
