Dean makes Cas watch romcoms with him in the Dean cave and it inspires him
He starts opening doors and pulling out chairs for Dean.
He’s guiding Dean by the small of his back and grabs his hand to help him down the stairs.
He’s giving Dean flowers everyday and complimenting everything about him, telling him his hair and outfit looks beautiful today.

Jack and claire should have met
people must realize that bbc Sherlock is NOT remotely the same as Sherlock and Co and that extends to accusations of queerbaiting.
bbc sherlock used the ‘bait’ from the very beginning to reel in queer watchers and then mocked them in and out of the show itself for wanting a follow through on the very blatant jokes and ‘hints’. bbc sherlock never respected the source material, the characters, or the fans. it is clear in the quality of the mysteries, in the likability of the characters and how people talk about it now.
sherlock and co is way more like the source material in its structure in that we hear what watson wants us to hear— like in the original stories we read what watson wants us to read. this is why queer readings of the original stories work so well and have lasted for so long— because there is plenty of canon material to work with but also a load of subtext and imagination involved in reading between the lines of what watson doesnt tell us.
beyond that, the creators of sherlock and co have said that they care about making fans happy. they want to remain faithful. that includes queer fans of the original stories.
if they had NO hints/signs of potential deeper feelings between john/sherlock that would also be unfaithful to the source material and the fans who are looking for that. they likely will never 100% confirm them as a romantic couple but neither did the original stories. and that is okay. all that matters is that they are together and that they care about each other (something bbc sherlock failed at repeatedly)
sherlock and co’s creators put so much more love into this podcast. to even compare it to bbc sherlock anymore is an insult tbh and i say this as someone who fell DEEP for the johnlock queerbaiting, wasting years of my life on a show that was poorly written and over produced, and who used its fandom and namesake w/out respecting it.
i get why we’re wary of queerbaiting bc we’ve faced so much of it but i just dont think sherlock and co falls under the category. especially not compared to bbc sherlock.

One side fits all
dean’s in his car with cas. he’s given his sage advice. he’s gotten cas to unbutton his shirt. cas is about to leave. dean goes, almost without his mouth checking to see if his brain is okay with it: “you do know how to kiss her, right?” and cas, very offended, goes “yes. i DID kiss meg, as you saw.” and dean laughs and is like “yeah, pizza man. but that’s like. i mean that’s a very uh. passionate, heat of the moment type kiss. you can’t bust that out on the first date.” and cas looks at him with trademark confused-cas-face and dean looks back at him. and licks his lips, more out of nervousness than anything. and then before he can chicken out, he leans in and puts one hand on the side of cas’ face and just gives him a slow, sweet, gentle kiss.
and then. RIGHT when cas starts to move in response and try to kiss dean back. dean moves his hand from cas’ face to his shoulder. pulls back, breaking the kiss. and goes, “like that, you know?” and cas looks at him and opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. and dean says, “yeah. alright! go get em tiger!” and slaps cas on the shoulder. and then he DRIVES AWAYYYYY
Do we all actually believe Chuck about this Cas being the only one who rebelled for Dean?
Cause I fucking don’t.
I wouldn’t believe a thing that comes out of Chuck’s mouth on this subject. How can the others BE Castiel if they don’t have something of a rebellious streak even before Dean comes along and blows it out fully and completely?
I’m not saying all Castiels rebelled but the idea that only one did? Nup I’m not buying it.
Dean and cas meeting alternate vers of themselves but Cas and Other!Cas get into a fight because;
“of course I know my Dean from yours. My Dean is special. Different. His soul burns bright and strong—“
“Are you trying to imply that my Dean is somehow lesser? I can assure you that isn’t the case. If anything, my Dean is the one that—“
And both Deans are freaking out over how often they say ‘my Dean’.
Supernatural: Yeah, so, Dean really longs to settle down and live a peaceful, free life. Perhaps with a loving partner.
